You're missing my point. I don't care if he caught it or not, if I have to go to that length to investigate, there's a good probability the ump could not see it.

Ahhhh.... And isn't that the point. What if he did YELL OUT really really loud and it came back that my evidence of pictures showed it may have hit the ground.
Would not all the white sox fans have an equal argument for the same reasons?
This was a judgement call, and the game continued and then the White Sox still stole second base, the catcher left the ball in his glove making an error IMHO, and then the pitcher throws a meatball over the middle when he has an 0-2 count.
