It's outrageous that Bush is getting away with this. Do you REALLY think that this was the most qualified person he could find? And now we have laura bush suggesting that those who criticize his choice are sexist. Do we all follow "trust me" because he is the leader or are there bigger issues involved. The best thing that could happen to the party is to clean out the bush operatives.

Getting away with what? Not throwing someone's name out in order to have them publically savaged on live television? It's a good thing Bush is getting away with that. I wouldn't wish the confirmation process on anyone.

I have a question. Do you even know what the hell my post was referring to, or did you just see someone who isn't bashing Bush or Miers, and therefore needed to "set him straight," so to speak?

Ummmm, you know don't you it's his CONSTITUTIONAL responsibility and his alone? Nowhere does it say he must consult anyone he doesn't choose to.
