That is why they declined, to keep people from snooping in their business any longer. Look at the lies that were spewed against the nominee by the so-called allies. They have said nicer things about Bin Laden.

My memory may be a little hazy, but I don't recall Charles Krauthammer or Michelle Malkin ever singing the praises of world-class terrorist UBL.

There was a report that one person took her name out of consideration, Priscilla Owens (and we can well guess the reason she did). No other names were mentioned. Now the above vague story has been posted without reporting other names.

Until I see a report specifically naming the other candidates who withdrew, I will consider the above story, a bogus CYA story concocted by the Whitehouse to manipulate sympathy from the Republican base, many of whom are quite angry with them at the moment.
