It never ceases to amaze me how many liberals who relocate from Oklahoma, Germany, Canada, etc. settle in Brooklyn and put their children IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS! Even middle class black folks send their kids to private or charter schools. Dumb, dumb, dumb...
I know one wealthy arty couple here who tried the same thing.
Their little boy lasted about two weeks in public school as a minority peckerwood kid. Raised by pacifists didn't help either, the color barrier notwithstanding.
Back to private school for him.
Mom is a performance artist.
Dad is very liberal.
The kid's pre-school and first 5 grades had been here:

This is very true. In most cases, it is to a private school that is ran by a church.
