Your Word tells us that we who believe that Jesus is the Christ are born of God and are overcomers of the world. How beautiful are the blessings that You grant us as we become Your adopted children---inheritants of Your glorious Kingdom---made righteous by our Saviour Jesus Christ. Blessed are You, our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, for of Your fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.
God of all blessings, we raise up in prayer this evening Your servant, George W. Bush, and ask You to impart Your peace and joy to him. May he dwell in all Your fullness because he has been made a new creation through his faith in Jesus Christ. Direct his heart to the love of God and to the steadfastness of the Savior, and help him to overcome every fiery dart from the devil’s hand. We ask that in every way and at every opportunity, he would be an ambassador of Your love. Beacause he publicly acknowledges You on earth, we are confident that You will openly acknowledge him in the presence of Your mighty angels. May his genuine love of the Savior shine like a light in the darkness of this world. We pray that his conversation and fellowship with You would be ongoing throughout the day so that he is always aware of Your presence, Your faithfulness, and Your leading.
Merciful God, place in our military men and women a love for You, and help them to know that they cannot be separated from that love, no matter where they are on the face of this earth. When their prayers grow dry from despair, may they be assured of Your Spirit interceding for them with groans that words cannot express. Grant them a strong commitment to their work and to the final prize of victory. We ask You to bless them for their faithfulness to America and to the Iraqi people. Protect and bless all who will be assisting in the Iraqi elections to be held Saturday, and please stir the hearts of the Iraqi people to get out and vote. Thwart every plot and scheme of the evil one who seeks to destroy freedom and all progress there.
Our God, You who love to hear the prayers of Your children, hear us this day. Let our hearts be blessed as we commune with You. May Your Name be magnified in each of our lives, and may Christ be glorified as we grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. We ask this in the Name of our Savior, our Redeemer and King. Amen.

Revolve in your mind that wondrous word, "faultless!" We are far off from
it now; but as our Lord never stops short of perfection in his work of
love, we shall reach it one day. The Saviour who will keep his people to
the end, will also present them at last to himself, as "a glorious church,
not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing, but holy and without
blemish." All the jewels in the Saviour's crown are of the first water and
without a single flaw. All the maids of honour who attend the Lamb's wife
are pure virgins without spot or stain. But how will Jesus make us
faultless? He will wash us from our sins in his own blood until we are
white and fair as God's purest angel; and we shall be clothed in his
righteousness, that righteousness which makes the saint who wears it
positively faultless; yea, perfect in the sight of God. We shall be
unblameable and unreproveable even in his eyes. His law will not only have
no charge against us, but it will be magnified in us. Moreover, the work
of the Holy Spirit within us will be altogether complete. He will make us
so perfectly holy, that we shall have no lingering tendency to sin.
Judgment, memory, will-every power and passion shall be emancipated from
the thraldom of evil. We shall be holy even as God is holy, and in his
presence we shall dwell for ever. Saints will not be out of place in
heaven, their beauty will be as great as that of the place prepared for
them.
Oh the rapture of that hour when the everlasting doors shall be lifted
up, and we, being made meet for the inheritance, shall dwell with the
saints in light.
Sin gone, Satan shut out, temptation past for ever, and ourselves
"faultless" before God, this will be heaven indeed! Let us be joyful now
as we rehearse the song of eternal praise so soon to roll forth in full
chorus from all the blood-washed host; let us copy David's exultings
before the ark as a prelude to our ecstasies before the throne.

Lord God, I especially ask Your intervention in the situation in Washington, D. C. and on our airwaves and on the internet. Cast out the spirit of dissension and anger. Bring us together to do Your will. Keep us from sharp tongues, harsh words, and evil thoughts. Grant us peace.
