They probably failed to mention that the water bottles were filled with TATP.

Lets presume there was an explosive gas in that bottle. Dumpsters and all the stuff in them make some nasty shrapnel.

Considering the number of Chemical Engineering students around at the "North Avenue Technical School", this shouldn't come as much of a surprise to *anybody*

Hispanarepublicana, you have got to read this book--"Being Dead Is No Excuse":

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1401359345/102-5904916-0628945?v=glance&n=283155&s=books&v=glance

I picked it up because of the title, but found myself laughing at the funeral food battles between the Episcopals and the Methodists. Also--it has recipes!

I think it is highly irresponsible and politically incorrect for you to mention "carrot-raisin salad" on this thread.

You may have to be detained and lashed by the Ninth Circus Court of Appeals for such blatant insensitivity.

I think whoever came up with carrot-raisin salad is highly irresponsible. What were they smoking?

My mom used to make this jello mold made from lime jello, cheese, cabbage, pimentos and pecans! The mother-of-all potluck terrors!!!

I remember moms like yours. I think I am scared for life from church socials.

School spokesperson Amille Gambino told 11Alive News the device appeared to be some water bottle with fireworks attached to them.

You were saying? Don't let anything, like facts or actual news, get in the way of you getting worked up. Overimaginative security guards see anything and let's call in Homeland Security. Ban all fireworks!! Pass another law!! Put your complete and total trust in politicians!!

Hmmmmm... never heard of that one before....

When I was in school, we had some idiots drop little flashcrackers down the center of the dorm stairwell when everybody was coming back from a firedrill. Nobody got hurt, but it scared the pi$$ out of a lot of kids, not only because of the loud noise in the stairwell, but also because they had wrapped the flashrackers with those little packets of ketchup you get at Mickey-D's. Big Bang and Ketchup splattered everywhere... good grief, everybody's ears were ringing and they thought they were dying. It was a BAD practical joke, but nobody was caught. (NO, it wasn't ME... I was still outside when it happened.)

Anyway, a firecracker water-bomb in the dumpster sounds like just another bad college prank gone awry...

JMHO

It's called progressive enlightenment (aka the socialist agenda).
