Why am I thinking Lily Whites being used is the name of the game?

GA Tech police officials were asked about the fireworks thing and they said there were NO FIREWORKS. See the video links in posts above and check out the "extended video" for the press conferences.

"I'm not actively a member of any party."

That should read "I'm not currently a member of any party"

This one may be serious, but it will come and go. Birds have flu's all the time, just like pigs and us. There's a dog flu out there now, so keep an eye on your dogs. In general these things aren't a threat to humans. This one has managed to survive and reproduce in humans, thus the threat. If it mixes with a human virus successfully then we may have a huge problem. But either way it will pass. Those of us who appreciate hunting will be blasting turkeys, geese and ducks again. Man I gotta go hunting this Fall, it's been years.

Radical Liberals consider our Universities their homes and feel free to promote their anti-American agenda, and support our enemies. Liberals may soon find out their chickens have come home to roost.

Well, if the Lutherans start letting homosexuals become ministers in the Church, I may be over to joint the Methodists Maniacs...............just remember, I do believe Lief Erikson our most famous Lutheran discovered American first....us Scandinavian Lutherans have never forgiven the Catholics for giving the credit to Chris Columbus!

The three device thing....Again.

Plastic bottles do not set off metal detectors, are cheap, and can be sealed to close smells in.

It dawns on me that this and other events could be experimental or dry runs for dispersing bio or chemical agents as well.

Is anyone at OU getting sick?

note that the GA Tech device was a "water bottle," and Hinrichs' car was found to contain "plastic bottles..." No shrapnel at OU. Might have had a plastic container for the TATP...As thin as 2 liter bottles are now, and as unstable as TATP is fireworks on the outside might be enough...sealed container, cheap, no stink.

Other than no stink, what's the advantage?

"Man I gotta go hunting this Fall, it's been years."

It's been a few years for me as well. The only thing I will shoot is birds. Never got into the deer thing personally, too many Bambi movies as a kid...lol. I once brought home the thanksgiving turkey for dinner(with a bow)in my youth. My late father was puffed up with pride and then made me clean it because it made him sick to his stomach(he was a Georgia Tech engineer grad). It made me sick to clean it and then everybody ate..but me...lol

I hope you are right about this avian flu stuff, but I am thinking seriously of moving out of the city at this point and becoming one of those survivalists..hell I might even join a 'militia'...lol.

"I'm pretty sure their state terrorism laws are in response to the Olympic Bombing case. Whoever did this is going to be facing serious time, it is an automatic felony in GA."

You are probably right, but a good defense attorney can help if it was related to a really bad 'prank'. Intent matters and it matters alot.

You are right about intent. I'm not a fan of "3 strikes and you're out" or "mandatory sentencing". Seeing my personal experience with these things makes me a little angry that someone could be so careless even if there was no intent to harm. I'm sure you understand. (o:

This has been one of my main concerns since the beginning, when the news was: "OU Suicide Bomber explodes next to Bio-Lab" Scary stuff!

No metal detector signature, colored bottles may not be obvious enough to be detected visually, cheap, readily available, could be disguised among other bottles filled with chem or bio agents in case lots and used as a dispersal charge, other things might apply...

"No shrapnel at OU"

I wanted to be sure to point out that that particular aspect is debated at this point re: OU. Mark Tapscott (Media Director at Heritage Foundation) has reported on his blog (an exclusive) that there are holes in the tree next to the bench with metallic substance inside reportedly the size of a 16-penny nail head.

The talk of bio agents could be concerning in this case as apparently the explosive devices were in a bag with numerous other bottles. No sickness reported at OU, as far as I'm aware.

It may not mean anything, but do all the universities involved have biochem research going on, and if so, how much involves infectious diseases? (This may be at just about any major University any more, and not anything unusual or especially significant--I don't know).

There was an explosive device found last Friday in Midvale, CA near UCLA. Here is the FR Thread - all article links are "broken".
