PETA's Latest Line Hard to Swallow
September 29, 2005
![]()
The bottom-feeders at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) have come up with a new way to turn children against their parents: a gruesome comic entitled "Your Daddy Kills Animals," telling kids that fathers who fish are murderers. PETA operatives began handing out the graphic flyers to children on September 24, "Fish Amnesty Day" (apparently for the liberation of all those piscine political prisoners). This comes nearly two years after PETA activists, clad in animal suits, began forcing the similarly inspired "Your Mommy Kills Animals" comic into young children's hands.
The anti-fishing pamphlet is just one more part of PETA's ongoing campaign to indoctrinate kids with sickening propaganda. One PETA campaign coordinator told the Associated Press: "We would never use shock tactics with children; it wouldn't be right." PETA is certainly correct when it says targeting kids is beyond the pale. Read more about their deplorable behavior in our report, "Your Kids, PETA's Pawns: How the Animal 'Rights' Movement Hurts Children."
Equally disgusted, Hook, Line & Sinker editor Karen Wall guts this most recent PETA initiative with a few choice observations, saving her best barbs for anti-fishing coordinator Karin Robertson, a woman who once changed her name to "GoVeg.com" -- at least for as long as it took major news outlets to notice:
Though Robertson said the group would never try to give the flyers to any child younger than 13 -- "We would hand it to the parent instead," she said -- the flyer is clearly geared toward elementary school children through the language it uses, making references to "doggies and kitties" and referring to fathers as "Daddy."
The most troubling passage reads, "Until your daddy learns that it's not 'fun' to kill, keep your doggies and kitties away from him. He's so hooked on killing defenseless animals that they could be next!"
That's an outrageous assertion. Just because I fish doesn't mean I'm going to go home and gut my dog with a fillet knife.
Leaving aside the fact that PETA doesn't want kids to have any "doggies" or "kitties" -- President Ingrid Newkirk says that PETA stands for "total animal liberation," including the liberation of pets -- it's important to remember that it's not fishermen who are killing dogs and cats. It's PETA employees.

(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
For the record, here is the vile PETA propaganda:

I haven't been out murdering with my father in a long time.
I'm withholding judgement until I see the pamphlet they offer denouncing abortion and the pain it causes the small child.
I'm waiting.
I'm waiting.
Screw their damned hypocrisy caring more about a meal fish than a human being.
That reminds me that I have to renew my license to kill. It expired in March.
These a$$holes are going to drive me to take up deer hunting again- just to spite them. I haven't been in more than a decade. I lost interest. But if I see another steaming pantload like this, I may have to go take a buck.
Why does anyone bother paying attention to these freaks? The only value PETA offers is comedic.
The PETA crowd has pretty much taken over the school system here in southern NH. I used to have kids on the block come and catch the frogs that would jump into my pool at night. All of sudden they started spouting this crap from their teachers about 'mother earth', and how humans shouldn't be eating animals. I asked them if they had ever seen a hawk catch a chipmunk or a racoon eat a bird's egg or crawfish. They haven't been around much since.
"Your Daddy Kills Animals," telling kids that fathers who fish are murderers.
----"PETA KILLS ANIMALS" . Not telling kids that they throw animals in dumpsters and do not practice what they preach.
This 'teacher' should have it's credentials pulled.
First off, this New Age 'Gaia' mother earth nonsense is tantamount to pushing religion on kids in the classroom. (For the benefit of DU lurkers, I have this old fashioned notion that we learn in classrooms and pray in church.)
Second- it is a simple fact that humans are omnivores. We do best on a mixed diet of plants and flesh.
NH Resident,
In the early 1990s, when I read an article about PETA lecturing kids in Mossitown, TN., I knew we had a problem.
I don't have kids.
But if I did, and they brought a brochure of PETA's home to me, I'd be all over the SCHOOL BOARD to find out why.
Most reporters have NO idea what a gun or fishing pole looks like.
And they get used by people who have an agenda. That's what has made PETA thrive, media exposure.
I remember reading somewhere about one guy who was going to start an organizaton called "People for the Ethical Treatment of Vegetables" or PETOV but that was the last I ever heard of it. Anyone know about this or did PETA sue him or something? Oh man that would have beautiful, the PETOV people throw green paint on the PETA people for "wearing plant products"...Protest signs calling for the end to the slaughter of alfalfa sprouts and innocent grain being killed for granola bars. Oh man the possibilities!
Thankfully, my kids know what rods and guns look like and what they're for...
It's JUST lunch!
LOL, PETA is bullsh1t but you got to admit they come up with funny stuff, Like "Holocaust on a Dish" No offense to the jewish people where it tagline was "To all animals, All humans are nazis" or even when Pamela Anderson posed nude for PETA. Now this campaign is one of the funniest. I got to out and buy(Downnload) those comic books unless there being handed out for free by a guy smoking some of that good stuff, with long hair and smell horribly because he doesn't shower or anything. Just stays natural.
And to all my fellow freepers, Don't listen to this PETA cr@p it's non sense, You need animal meat since it contains nutrients only found in animals. Eat beef, pork, chicken ect. I doubt you would like veggie caseroles "trust me, Don't ask" but read the campaigns, They are damm funny.
