I was struck by the pic of the ceremony when W. announced his choice of John Roberts to be associate justice. In the foreground is Roberts' cute son frolicking in front of the President of the United States. While behind the kid stands the President and the Roberts. On the face of Roberts' wife is the look of someone about to be led to the gallows.
