Pukin, that was an excellent post. I want you to know I have also changed my mind about Cindy "The Cow" Sheehan.

To sit back and, in hindsight, say we should fight amounts to not preparing the battlefield before the war and, then, second guessing the general who had to go with the field as is. Where were all these media pundits, then? I think the term "armchair general" was made just for them. They may have made some noise, then. But, if it wasn't enough, then, they're too late, now.How much did you contribute to the Coalition for a Fair Judiciary?
Why did President Bush never use the loyal "rank and file" to prepare the battlefield? He used the Republican database and his clout via pre-recorded messages to meddle in state and local primaries, and now he's using them to attempt to stem the grassroots revolt against Miers.
It's too bad he didn't use those pre-recorded messages to bust up the "gang of 14".

I don't know Jerome Corsi...but you do know Jerome Corsi:
Jerome (Jerry) R. Corsi is an author and conservative activist. Corsi is best known as co-author with John O'Neill of Unfit for Command. This book, written in cooperation with Swift Vets and POWs for Truth (formerly known as Swift Boat Veterans for Truth), is strongly critical of John Kerry's Vietnam War record.
Corsi holds a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard University.

One of my courtesies is welcoming someone to whom I've never posted. Thanks.
Nowadays folks just show up to berate someone though. Hence the lurking. It's like watching kids fight on a playground.

little birds have agendas too. Republicans are so afraid of fighting.

Boy, you read a lot into a small comment. I said he made some valid points, I didn't say I agreed. Find something to do besides whine about something you know nothing of, like my opinion on a subject. I haven't given it YET.

I made a cursory observation of her exterior hardware and interfaces on the boob tube and was impressed by the number of hours the hardware has run without failure. Having said that, I would note that obvious signs of external aging to hardware are usually an indication that the internal parts are very well advanced in age as well and could fail at any time.,/i>

Hey buddy.
Nice thread, huh? Had to do it when I found out what was really going on, but if I thought it would bring out the long knives, I might have reconsidered. Just checkin in though. I've been at Home Depot all morning, cause I'm building a woodworking shop out back with all this time on my hands. I was listening to Rush in my truck, and from his comments, I think he got the same information I got.

Ah Home Depot. My refuge. My home away from home. I'm sitting with a bunch of tattooed liberals at a Starbucks near my hotel in scenic El Segundo CA. I'll be on reserve for the next 4 days out of LAX. Unfortunately the only internet access I can find is at Starbucks.
I heard someone, might have been Mort Kondracke say something about expectations being so low for Miers during her Senate hearings that she will probably come out looking like a shining star. Reminds be of another prominent Texan people have perpetually written off.
I'm off to go buy some Birkenstocks and some hemp boxer shorts.

Could this now be part of a concerted WH effort to dissiminate the behind-the-scenes information regarding the decision to nominate Miers? Is this an effort to help focus the energy and pressure and anger of the base towards those Senators who are responsible for Bush's decision to not nominate certain judeges? I think that is a natural progression, and isn't coordinated or planned. First disappointment is with the President, for making the pick. Then, as it dawns on people that the range of possible picks was circumscribed by the gang of 14 or GOP wussiness in the Senate, the barbs will go that way.
If there was a coordinated effort from the WH or GOP (to direct attention to the Senate), they would be reminding the public that a couple well qualified nominations are still sitting in the Senate, and haven't been acted on for over half a year.
