The scandals included the Whitewater inquiry and Mr Clinton’s affairs with Ms Lewinsky, Paula Jones and Gennifer Flowers.

Hold on, this is flushing the truth down the memory hole. We have to combat these misconceptions with vigor or they will enter the history books.

The scandals were not about the affairs directly. They were about episodes of alleged sexual harrassment, sexual battery, and rape, which were being investigated in accordance with years of Democratic/feminist legal dogma holding that women never lie about such things.

Bill Clinton lied under oath about the affairs, and in so doing, deprived Paula Jones and Juanita Brodderick of the day in court to which they were entitled. The failure of the national liberal womens' groups to come to their side is one of the grossest displays of hypocrisy ever in the history of American political life.

We also need to point out, whenever the opportunity arises, that Bill Clinton's behavior would have prevented him from receiving even a Secret security clearance. His indiscretions exposed him to a serious risk of being blackmailed. Imagine the damage that could have been done if a foreign intelligence service caught wind of Monica. Clinton was too great a security risk to be a janitor at the Pentagon, never mind Commander in Chief.

What I'd like to know is how much more does Louis Freeh know that does not appear in this book. I'll bet he knows even more than he is telling at this moment. Maybe there will be a sequel book, or Freeh will reveal more in interviews. Of course, he will need a bodyguard if he does reveal more, or else he'll be laid out ala Vince Foster in some park.

Just to refresh everyone's memory, this is around the time of Hillary's famous "vast right wing conspiracy" quote.

You see, even a bureaucrat like Freeh just attempting to do his job with minimal dignity and honor became an "enemy" by refusing to be corrupted by the Clintons.
