Was Janet Rogers Brown fully vetted? Do you know one way or the other? Do you think she is tough as nails and can stand up to the scrutiny she would get? Do you think 50+ Republicans would vote for her?

You only think you know one thing about her, she is against abortion. So, aren't you worried she might vote the "wrong way" on some of your other important issues? You don't know that she will or she won't -- same for Harriet Miers.

Actually, from what I've read, I consider her to be pretty much an idealogical conservative, in the vein of Scalia and Thomas, which is the reason she is so popular among conservatives.

Pro-Life issues aren't the only issues important to me and apparently are not the only issues important to Janice Rogers Brown.

Ms. Brown has made a number of controversial decisions in the conservative direction on the bench and has been battle hardened like several other prospective nominees. She knows exactly what she's in for and would stand up well. BTW, she has quite a Judicial paper trail, and not just on pro-life issues and Miss Miers does NOT.

You falsely assume only Republican Senators would vote to confirm her. She would also receive votes from some Democratic Senators who are not immune from the fear of charges of racism and sexism.
