Maybe he thinks it's not the best "conservative pick" but that's not the same thing. He himself said he was remaining "neutral".

The very fact that he's remaining "neutral" on Miers is proof that he doesn't think she was the best pick.
Neutrality from someone like Limbaugh is a damning indictment of her quality.
Rush would be cheering her if she was the best... or even decent.

She's the pick that is going to be approved. Conservative candidates would never be....so your argument is moot.

No, he's pushing forward something thats untrue. Anyone who listened to Rush this week knows he is not really neutral on this. He's not NEAR as forceful as some of the other pundits have been in their opposition, so in that sense I guess you could say he's been "neutral" compared to them. LOL

Now you're just proving to everybody just how dumb and desperate you are.

He is remaing NEUTRAL because that is the way this is handled, unless, of course, you, in your endless pit of wisdom, can provide a link for ANY other Supreme Court justice coming out in SUPPORT of any nominee.

Got one? If not, stop saying stupid stuff like that.

Agreed - Rush is not entirely happy with this pick.

He is viewing this pick as part of the political war with the 'Rats, and hoped it was a chance to drive another stake in their hearts. He holds back on some of his dismay with this pick by noting that with an Army like the Senate Republicans, perhaps it is just as well that we don't go to war now.

From that perspective, he's reasonable to not be enthusiastic about Miers.

I enjoy a good fight too. But I most want a solid vote on the Court. If Miers never writes a single opinion, and never says a word in public again, but is a solid vote respecting the Constitution, that works, for me.
