Does this mean they're inVinceable?
LOL.When I moved to Florida I thought I was coming to paradise. Ivan and Dennis later, it's more like a state of emergency.
That stuff can blow away for all I care. I'll be in the garage getting lubricated with all the other people that seem to show up, because they know I've got a stone house..............FRegards
This can't be. They only have names for 21.
They may have to call up Xavier, Yolanda, and Zachary.
Do you know what became of TD 21? I've been reading the blogs on wunderground.com and it isn't clear; it's almost as if they skipped over something.
My last comment got lost! I posted a question and then it didn't appear on the thread. So I checked my pings and the comment appeared as "6 of 5" -- weird!!
Anyway, since I can't be sure whether my last post will ever see the light of day here, can anyone tell me whatever happened to TD 21? Thanks!
(in small chastened SNL "Emily Littella" voice...)
"never mind..."
22 is correct. A Tropical Depression must strengthen into a Tropical Storm to get a name. Not all Tropical Depressions have become Tropical Storms.
Correct. There have been two depressions this year that never developed into storms, so they were never given a name. TD 10 and TD 19. So although we're up to TD 22, there have been only 19 named storms.
TD 21 became TS Tammy.
Actually, what would have been TD 21 became TS Tammy. I think it developed quickly into a tropical storm and basically skipped the depression stage.
That happens almost daily to me. Of course, I post a lot.. Anyhow, I'm not sure what the glitch is, but if you post something and it doesn't show up in the thread, but your pings show the ghost number (e.g., "6 of 5") then it'll show up in the thread within 5 minutes or so. Don't post again, or you'll end up double posting.
BTW, sometimes if you go and refresh your pings you'll see the same ghost number but it's someone else's post that hasn't shown up yet. I think the glitch is in the perl code that I presume they're using for these forms.
