Any time I start to think the country might be going in the wrong direction, I simply state two little words:
President Kerry
After considering that possibility, things don't look too bad

After considering that possibility, things don't look too bad That's a shame, because not being worse does not = better

I like Bush.
This is just an article to encourage Dems.

The base is slipping because Bush won't do anything on immigration and the Supreme court picks smell well, moderate.George never was a true blue conservative but right of the middle.I had a gut feeling about him when I heard the term compassionate conservative and new tone(ie play nice with the dimmies). He let old Ted write the education bill and he did establish the largest entitlement in history with his drug plan, but on the war he's been good although poll numbers are down and I think that's because people really want us to take of the pc kid gloves and really try to win it and end it like ww2.

"
President Kerry"
Or any other dem, for that matter. Works for me, too. I mostly support President Bush, although I'm not totally happy with everything he's done. I think he's a good man and has been overall a good president.
I also don't trust polls. Too easy to skewer the questions to get the replies you want, IMO.

Huh??
Are you rationalizing that we should be thankful for a more benign smelling stench?
Sorry, I'm still holding my nose.

Any time I start to think the country might be going in the wrong direction, I simply state two little words: President Kerry Whenever GWB has done something that conservatives question, since he started his first run for President, his supporters have had three responses:
1. He's better that (fill in name). Gee gosh, I'll stick with him when I look at the alternatives.
2. Well, he has to go slowly now, until we get control of the HOR, Senate, and Presidency...then the conservative movement is unstoppable. (oops...haven't heard that one for awhile)
3. But it's all about...THE JUDGES!!! GWB's Supreme Court choices will just cleanse this country of the liberal insanity and over-reaching, over-spending government.
I'd say it's time to get past these three arguments, and articulate how what GWB has done, and is doing, has made us a stronger, less intrusive, safer country, heading back towards a minimalist federal government that understands the Constitution and does everything possible to uphold it.
