Congratulations to Texas on a big win. Believe it or not, we'll be pulling for you if you play USC or Notre Dame. I'm gonna stay mad at you guys for not bringing that giant bass drum to Dallas any more, and now for tearing down Big Tex to boot.
See you next year.

Same here, congrats Texas.
I know my neighbor played at Texas and he is still out side whooping and hollering to anyone who will listen.
Come New Years I'll be rooting for Texas no matter who they play.
I like to think that we Sooner fans have enough class to say job well done Longhorns.
To those sad Sooner fans.
Keep your heads up this team shows lot of possibilities.
It may not be this year but at some point this team is going to come together and then it will be lots of sack clothe and ashes for their opponents fans.

Getting trashed by USC...... both Michigan and Oklahoma got the CR*P kicked out of them in successive NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES by the TROJANS... Both teams went into a death spiral the following season......Next up 'Horns....!

Excuse me. Last year in the Westend you could have counted Longhorn fans on one hand -- last year Texas didn't even sell all their tickets and they didn't stay around to party. A lot of OU fans bought their tickets and thus the 50/50 split was more like 60/40. Some of you are spinning like the OU President this past week and trust me that is not a compliment!
Our team is in a rebuilding year and you guys are puffing out your chests because you won for the first time in six years! Really funny! If we were undefeated, I could understand but we lost to TCU and UCLA so not exactly our best team and you all make it sound like you beat Josh Heupel and Company in 2000! Amazing!

I played Texas HS football in North Texas. Most of our good players went to Oklahoma because Texas got pretty uppity after the '69 season and OU is closer anyway. Johnny Kohler kept Tennessee from winning the Orange bowl in 68'. Zac Henderson was an excellent defensive back for my HS team and became a four year all American at Oklahoma. Skip Hicks took all of the hoopla he could take and went to UCLA. Texas doesn't get all of the best recruits from Texas each year, if they did they would be a powerhouse. Oklahoma will be back, they are having an off year which is about time. Texas OTOH, has had more off years than they wish to admit to.

USC, DUH! What does that stand for?
United States Congress.
What comes round eventually goes round.
It seems that before the current coach arrived USC had several years of mediocrity.
However, the winners all ways deserve due credit for accomplishments.

Went to the new Target in Midwest City and what do you think I saw? Three folks in their orange UT tee shirts. I understand how they feel, when you finally win you just want to shout. I thought they were pretty cute, but then I know that Okies are usually gracious winners and not nasty when they lose. To me the OU vs UT game is the best football classic in the country.

My company is based in Houston and 1/2 the folks there went to UT. They are the most arrogant SOBs about college football you'd ever want to meet. I was more of a Big10 fan, but they turned me into a Big12 - Anyone but UT fan.You think that's bad. They only have to lose one game and you can hear the wailing, gnashing, self-hating, and finger-pointing start on KLBJ. A loss means someone is sinnin' and the witchhunt is on.

Add to that the 23-0 beating of what was supposed to be a great Auburn team the first game of the season a few years ago. auburn went in the tiolet the rest of the year.
USC has a way of demoralizing top teams. they just suck the wind out of their sails.
OU 2004 = Texas 2005. Texas cannot compete with USC in talent; and especially speed.
For those ND fans who think they have a chance this week against USC, good luck. Remember, speed kills. Brady Quinn, might be an average QB in the PAC-10. There are 6-7 starting QB in the PAC-10 that will get drafted in the early rounds when they leave for the NFL.

and now for tearing down Big Tex to boot. Uh oh, sounds like I missed a story. What happened to Big Tex?
