This from WCMH TV4 = At about 10:40 a.m., the four buses left Port Columbus and began driving the 20-mile parade route where city officials encouraged the public to line the streets.

This is Columbus's Mayor, Mayor Michael Coleman. His son was one of our troops coming home.

We've got WCMH TV4 to thank for it. They helped by telling everyone about our troops coming home and then they televised the whole thing. Can you believe? Someone from the Media actually doing such a wonderful thing? It was an amazing wonderful thing they did!

Maybe he/she meant the phrasing of the headline. I could think of a number of better versions to announce their return.

Maybe they could have ignored it, like Fox seems to have? This is a reserve unit that took some heavy casualties. They sacrificed a lot in the service of their country. Mentioning that in the headline doesn't seem out of place, at least to me.

Thanks for posting the pictures GloriaJane.

It is rare occasions like the people turning out for these honorable heroes that restores my hope for the survival of the Republic.

It makes me tear up.

It was cold and raining and people came out anyway! They stood in the rain! It was awesome!
