Sounds of joy are now emanating from every Jesuit seminary and house. "Its Raining Men" being the new anthem of the Jebbies it seems.

(My apologies to Father Joe and the rest of the decent Jesuits who have to put up with all this crap from their fellow SJers).

You're an atheist and you're against homosexuality? But you have no grounds for such a position.

Of course, you have no grounds to be opposed to mass murder either, for that matter.

Forgive me if I've mistaken you for someone else.

I'm an agnostic who was raised Catholic and lived in a rectory for a time. I just was always symphathetic to those who truly represented their faith, as opposed to the corrupt "lavendar mafia" who say one thing, yet practice another.

This is less a question about homosexuality (for me at least) than about integrity within an institution that many in my family belong to and that I may rejoin someday.

Why is it that some people have this idea that those who don't hold strong belief in a god cannot have a sense of morality? Such a thought requires that you believe no human being had a clue that murdering others was wrong prior to it having been written down in a religious text. That's just silly.

Being non-religious does not make you immoral any more than being religious makes you moral.
