I bet California Republicans are breathing a sigh of relief that McClintock isn't there to veto those bills.

It's just a few more pennies for each affected party ...
... added to hundreds of such prior pennies .. and tons
of paperwork and widely-scattered regulations to have to
know about.

CA is doomed. This accelerates it.

> ... phase out mercury in industrial switches ...

Hg is used because it works exceedingly well. It is
reliable over extended time because it doesn't pit or
stick, like Ag contacts do. People will die because of
this.

13 more small business will now exit CA.

> ... require farmers to report for the first time to
> the state the amount of groundwater they pump, ..

Is the state going to pay for the meters, which many
of these farmers won't already have?

> .. force cosmetics companies to disclose potentially
> toxic chemicals in their products ...

I'm sure cosmetics there already contain the "known
to the State of CA to cause cancer" warning. Cos prices
will now double so packages can be big enough to hold
the warnings.

> registration to fund coastal pollution programs.

Run for your lives CA residents.

He ran on this. When we voted for him, we all knew where he stood on these issues. IT WAS STILL BETTER THAN WHAT WE HAD.

One will require all new cars for sale in California starting in 2009 to display stickers explaining how many tons of global warming-causing gases they emit.

Like I really give a rat's rectum how much pollution my big pickup truck spews into the air.

It says that one law will require all CA cars to display the amount of "Greenhouse gases" they emit. That is easy and can be done now. The answer is zero! There is no such thing as global warming.

LOL...the idiotic emissions rules in California cause more "global warming-causing gases" to be emitted, since the basically ban diesel cars.
