He deserves to be omitted. What a smarmy weasel.

So has mine. But I must say that I have a lot more things I can get done in a day, now that I'm not listening to these pundits anymore.

If I were an advertiser on one these programs, I'd be a bit concerned.

(Does Rita Cosby count as a man?)"

Her politics stink, but what a woman!

I'm with you on the rest though :o)

In 2000 and 2004 according to Krystol, Bush lost every presidential debate (and would get beat in each election).

That's when I started to turn him off. He's the Bob Shrum of punditry.

Do you read much beyond your own rantings here on FR?

I read enough to know that this:

Kristol is one of the leading conservative writers who is also a regular on Foxnews - one of the most vocal and possibly influential sources of support for the Bush administration. There are those who think Kristol is among an elite few whose thinking actually helped influence the decision to invade Iraq.

is basically BS. It reads like a nomination for some sort of prize.

Actually, the base is not split. It is the noisy contingency that is creating the impression of 'split'. Folks like George Will appear to have forgotten what is the current operational mode for the 'opposition' ... qualification is nothing, where the prospect would vote on Roe v Wade and the culture of 'right to kill' is everything. Harriet is as qualified as Scalia, if one looks far enough back in the records of both and takes an uneven balancing act (don't compare the whens, just the hows). The lieberals will discover why she's a threat to their degenerate perspective ... her Church is their key. leave them to the fractures and stop the conjectures. we have a conservatuve, Christian President. Be still and watch things unfold. [Whom do you suppose Bush will nominate next?...]

You know, I found that sentence so absurd that almost nobody other than Kristol could have written it. And then I thought, what a perfect screen name!

It is amazing. I had one person tell me that if they were making any effort to be fair and discuss the issues or her views, it would be one thing, but the fact they were being so shrill and mean—and uppity "I'm sure she's a nice lady but..." which this person saw as the ultimate "intellectual" put down—really turned him off.

Being called nice can be a veiled reference for someone who thinks you are ugly, fat or stupid. In this case...stupid. It's really ticking lots of people off.

I also think that many feel the President got a raw deal over NOLA and are feeling pretty protective. They saw him stand up and take responsibility even when it wasn't his fault. So, this comes along and his own "friends" start kicking him. I think that it is just too much for most people.

Especially since people see President Bush as decent and sincere above all else. I find in general, partisan politics completely go by the wayside when it comes down to what the general public perceives as fair game. In this case, we stepped over that line and people are reacting negatively.

Rita Cosby is only OK with the TV on mute. That way I can watch her and not have to sit in my recliner sticking ice picks in my ears.

It's a dull, cool and dreary overcast day
Kind of like my mood, but that is not to say
I am going to bite someone's head off
That's reserved for my input at Word For The Day

We're in the midst of autumn doldrums
And the Left really should find a newer spoon
For the Witches of Endor to stir their rancid, bubbling cauldrons
As their quips and buzzwords are becoming increasingly weathered and passe!

Woodward and Bernstein gave us "Watergate"
And every scandal since then has suffered the same fate
Until Afghanistan and "Quagmire" became all the rage
Do reporters and political hacks ever progress beyond the age of eight?!!!

Now we have thrust upon us Harriet Meirs
Who admittedly has lit no raging fires
Under conservatives' deflated egos
As Roberts did just some three weeks ago

We all know that the President loves to play Texas Hold 'Em
So, we really shouldn't go out of our way to scold him
Though I hope Ms. Meirs is the is the bluff and bump before the check
It's up to the Dems who are sweating bullets to call or fold 'em!

He couldn't influence anyone to bring potato salad at a PTA luncheon.

Do you suppose the SCOTUS nominations *will* split the party?
?More than abortion, embryonic stem cells, immigration and securing the borders, wars, or NoChildLeftBehind?

I hope the party won't split.I believe we elected the best man and he can do the job. But the most important job we foresaw (before 9-11) for this President was the appointment of Justices.

This has been so surprising to me; Bush has delivered up a Born Again Christian on a platter and still we have these myopic views all over the place.

And take a look at this:

Even overturning Roe v. Wade will not be enough for some of them.
