Next time you watch America's Most Wanted, count the Hispanic names you see on one hand, and those not Hispanic on the other. I've been doing this for a while and it generally runs 50-60%. Seems disproportionally high to me, unless there are more sneaking across the border than I assumed. Could be a bias by the show's producers, or perhaps it is a culture that has no regard for the law.

There is one crucial flaw in her article:

Puerto Ricans have US citizenship by birth, since it's a US territory.

This is not, unfortunately, a freakish, one-of-a-kind event. Last year, Heather MacDonald, in a piece for City-Journal which also posted at Frontpagemagazine.com, addressed the astounding impact of illegal alien criminals. In "Illegal Alien Crime Wave," she notes that in Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide (which total 1,200 to 1,500) target illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal aliens.

Im not sure what Tammy is saying here. Is she making the case that aliens with proper residency papers, like a green card, commit crime at a much lower rate than those without?

Yep. If we can't enforce respect for our own laws, why should we expect any one else to obey the law? And I'm not just talking about illegal aliens, mind you? To have rule of law in this country the law must be enforced across the board without favoritism. And amnesty for illegals is not only favoritism - its also an act that connotes disrespect of and contempt for the law. Conservatives of all people should the first to appreciate the importance of a society in which people's safety is as much assured by their adherence to the law as well as from secured borders.
