Okay, why is this breaking news when there was an actual suicide bombing attempt in Oklahoma that is being kept off the National Airwaves?

Police Investigate New York Subway Terror Threat Oct. 6, 2005 The New York City Police Department is investigating what it deems a credible tip that 19 operatives have been deployed to New York to place bombs in the subway, and security in the subways will be increased, sources told ABC News.
While the police department is taking the threat seriously, it is also urging the public not to be alarmed because while the source is credible the information has not been verified.
According to sources in intelligence, emergency services and police headquarters, when three Iraqi insurgents were recently arrested during a raid by a joint FBI-CIA team, one of those caught disclosed the threat. Because it slipped out during the arrest, the plot was deemed credible.
After several days of work, sources said, the NYPD is increasingly concerned because it has been unable to discredit the initial source and additional information from the source.
The 19 operatives were to place improvised explosive devices in the subways using briefcases, according to two sources.

"The New York City Police Department is investigating what it deems a credible tip that 19 operatives have been deployed to New York to place bombs in the subway, "
Wait...isn't NYC still doing voluntary searches on subway riders? If so, I'm quite confused how 19 bombs could have somehow made it through the searches.

I obviously hope we never have another terrorist attack, but I've been worred that 9-11 part II will go for even more fatalaties, such as attacks on nuclear or chemical plants.
If they are in reality gunning for something like subways, that will be better than the aforementioned alternatives.

The U.S. Senate just voted 90-9 to protect terrorist prisoners from "abuse". We have taxation without representation. Both the DemoRats and the Republican morons are more concerned with protecting the rights of terrorists than they are concerned with national defense.

Last week, the DC Metro was handing out flyers about "what to do in a terrorist attack". THere have been a TON of increased security on the Metro in the past 2 weeks. wonder if there is a connection.

It could also be a bunch of nothing. The media hypes up a "possible threat" and ignores what happened at OU a few days ago.
Unbelievable..... :(
