Ingredient in cosmetics, toys a safety concern
The Wallstreet Journal ^ | Oct. 4, 2005 | Peter Waldman

Posted on 10/06/2005 11:42:49 AM PDT by Seth Monroe

In the 12th week of a human pregnancy, the momentous event of gender formation begins, as X and Y chromosomes trigger biochemical reactions that shape male or female organs. Estrogens carry the process forward in girls, while in boys, male hormones called androgens do.

Now scientists have indications the process may be influenced from beyond the womb, raising a fresh debate over industrial chemicals and safety. In rodent experiments, common chemicals called phthalates, used in a wide variety of products from toys to cosmetics to pills, can block the action of fetal androgens. The result is what scientists call demasculinized effects in male offspring...

I'm not sure if this was "edited" by the Associated Marxists or not. It says "Eds: Via AP" so I assume that means they edited the article so buyer beware. I read the original in the Journal paper and thought it would interest my brothers at FR.

Feel free to homosexual agenda ping this one as it could be the breakthrough we were looking for all along. The cause for the homosexual disease being chemical exposure, along with other precise factors, while the child is developing in the womb.

As with most answers to scientific questions it's usually right in our face and simple.

As for homosexuality throughout history it would seem other chemicals cause the same trigger as the phthalates which existed in that time.

Very interesting and some Leftist Universities are already sending out their propagandists to shoot this down.

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy is probably a bigger cause of homosexual behavior.

This would explain a lot - theres a good possibility that this is one way around the evolutionary question of how homosexuality persists in the first place. A "gay gene" would be selected against pretty quick.

If its not genetic but an environmental effect - plant toxins or mineral exposure through trace elements in water, etc., or now industrial chemicals, then there is no evolutionary issue.

I don't know about this article, but I know a common household chemical that causes all sorts of hetero behavior (and , too, I imagine):

BEER

Sounds like the bottom line of the article is "we don't know". And it sounds like much ado about nothing. But as long as these researchers are making a living, that's all that matters.

Now if we could only find out what chemicals cause Moslems to want to blow themselves and others up.

"BEER"

I think it's been linked to causing pregnancy.

Wow...I wonder how homosexuals who lived hundreds and maybe thousands of years ago got a hold of these industrial chemicals. Amazing stuff I tell ya!

This is interesting, as I suspecte that at least some aspects of homosexuality have a physical cause.

Possibly, but if such studies were ever allowed to be done on a scientific way, I'm sure that the raging homo queens would only represent a small percentage of males born with this "feminized" problem.

Homosexuality is first and foremost a behavior problem. Ask anyone who has ever left the lifestyle.
