Exactly. Even sheltered, well-warned kids do risky things.

RICHMOND, Va. — The body found in a wooded area has been positively identified as that of Taylor Marie Behl (search), police said Thursday.

The identification was made through dental records and the investigation is continuing, police said during a news conference. They said that "the scope of this case has narrowed significantly" and they were confident they'd resolve it soon.

Police have not determined the cause of death, but said Thursday that the remains have been sent to the medical examiner for analysis.

Fawley had a romantic relationship with the teen, his attorney, Chris Collins, has said. A telephone message left for Collins was not immediately returned Thursday.

Pelasara's attorney, George Peterson, said at the news conference that he believes the strongest suspect is already in custody. He said one of Fawley's ex-girlfriends owns a property near where the body was found.

Fawley was questioned by police in Behl's disappearance and classified as a person of interest at one point during the investigation. He was arraigned last week on 16 counts of possession of child pornography.

Detectives later seized more than 70 items from Fawley's home, including a box of bones, a machete and part of a box spring bearing a reddish-brown stain, according to a search warrant.

Behl's family was planning to make funeral arrangements later Thursday, Peterson said.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

In addition, seventeen-year-old Monica Rose Sharp is still missing and the police need your help.

Oh my. This epidemic needs to end. We've put the fear of God into our kids about going off with strangers and staying safe...but I guess a kid doesn't suspect someone she knows and apparently trusts.

parents OWE it to their children to teach them about the danger. Failure to do so is a failure of parenting.

How do you know they didn't? I have a child this age and have harped on her about these things since she was a child. But kids are kids. They don't always listen to their parents and they learn. They shouldn't die while learning. That's what growing up is about. Parents can't keep them tied up and out of the world. IT'S NOT THE PARENTS FAULT!!! Every parent should be offended by your words.

But try to tell that to smartin, Glenn and twigs....

Apparently its politically incorrect to mention the need for parenting these days...

Janet Pelasara, Taylor's mother said today that she believes a body found in a wooded area is her daughter. "The body found is most likely my baby's," she said at a news conference at her home in Vienna, VA.

"I'm positive the authorities will bring these subhumans to justice . . . and pray they will receive the death penalty."

George O. Peterson, the family attorney, says that official confirmation is expected soon.

"The strongest suspect they already have in custody," Peterson said, but there remains the possibility that others were involved. A K-9 tracked the scent of another person from Taylor's car. The person has been arrested for possession of cocaine.

One key person of interest in this case from the time that college freshman Taylor Behl went missing is Ben Fawley, a 38-year-old amateur photographer who had a romantic relationship with Taylor. Fawley is currently charged with 16 child pornography counts and is being held without bond in Richmond.

Crime Library sources have indicated that another of Fawley's former girlfriends once lived at 554 Knight Wood Road in Diggs, VA. The remains found by the task force searching for missing college freshman Taylor Behl were located near the intersection of Rt. 611 and Rt. 613. Knight Wood Road in Mathews County is very close to that site. Mathews County is right on the Chesapeake Bay, about 70 miles from Richmond.

Members of the task force searching for Taylor Behl meticulously researched the online records created by Taylor, Fawley and their various associates. From these online records, police determined that several sites should be examined. One of those sites was the area where the remains were located behind a barn on private property. Police had shown photos of the site to one of Fawley's former girlfriends who identified where the photos were taken.

The remains were very decomposed and positive identification was not immediately possible. However, several news sources indicated that clothing found at the site was similar to clothing that Taylor reportedly wore when she disappeared. The FBI will continue to handle the gathering of evidence at the crime scene.

Pat Collins of NBC 4 was told that soil samples from the under carriage of Taylor's car match soil samples from the area in which the recently discovered body was found.

Fawley told police the day after Taylor disappeared that he had been abducted and assaulted several hours after Taylor was last seen. He claimed that he had been driven to an unknown location and robbed of his camera, tripod and cash. Fawley told police he was then dumped on a dirt road where he managed to get a rid back to his residence. Fawley told police that a former girlfriend was behind the attack on him.

Ridiculous! Blame the victim, not the perp. when we get serious about looking up these animals, making child porn a capitol offense, maybe young women will be free to go about the world in safety. If your're going to blame someone, why not these BOY'S MOTHERS?

Erin Crabill, a former colleague of amateur photographer Ben W. Fawley, 38, is from Diggs, VA in Mathews County. Crabill and Fawley allegedly made several trips to Mathews County before they had an acrimonious dispute over the use of some photos of Crabilll. Fawley is facing 16 charges of child pornography and was at one time a romantic interest of Taylor Behl.

This is where your faulty logic lies. Even with the best parenting, predators can get to people.

What's really sad is how these guys think of these young girls, I listened to this Deepak talk abput Natalie Holloway the other day on Fox he actually said
Natalie quote:

Acted like a Slut, talked like a Slut and if she wasn't why would she get into a car with 3 strange guys she did not know? he said all 3 had sex with her but did not kill her.... right!...

The problem is the girls now a days think they can act like how most men have acted in a premiscous way and do not realize the danger they are truly in.

Blame belongs nowhere but on the murderer. Evil is in the world and it takes victims.

So, If I come across a rapist engaged in a rape and I shoot him, he is a victim and I am a murderer, correct?
His actions make him in no way responsible for his own death, that's what you are saying.

It's easy for Deepak to lie about the victim. She's not around to defend herself.

Apparently its politically incorrect to mention the need for parenting these days...

You are one of the most presumptious posters I've ever come across on FR. And I've been here for years. I'm going to ask my daughter if I could have done more warning and better parenting. I can see her eyes roll now because I've been a very hands-on parent who left a career so that I could be there when she needed. I was strict too. How in the world could you POSSIBLY make such disgusting presumptions about any of us here who are putting the blame where it belongs.

And I entirely agree with the poster to whom you responded. This epidemic needs to end. Good parenting is an important part of it. That includes teaching your children to be careful. It also includes the Mrs. Kalpoe's and Mrs. van der Sloot's of the world to teach their boys to respect young women--to not rape them and not murder them!
