And you assume no one would be murdered if everyone was "careful".....? Talk about blame the victim.

Prayers up for you too, that you remain clueless.

My point exactly. Because the guys are known liars and she isn't here to tell what happened. So we should err on the side of the victim as much as possible.

Your comment of who's child was I hoping it would be was not a snarky remark nor did I make one to you. I just do not understand your hostility towards a stranger who was posting about a current event in their community.I was just trying to explain why we in the community around the area thought and hoped it was an animal. As far as it being "my story", this was someones child. It was tragic and I was voicing my concern. I am truly sorry you feel as you do . I do understand you have a right to your opinion and I respect that. Please allow me the same courtesy. Let's just agree to disagree. Have a nice weekend.

Interesting post. Ben Fawley's defense lawyer is close friends with a Richmond journalist. This guy is spinning for dollars!

I Live in Richmond and VCU is in a pretty scary place. They have break in alerts, etc from time to time around the campus. I guess large state universities are like that, but VCU is really interwoven with the city...the city IS the VCU campus..which means you can have middle aged strange people walking around campus unnoticed. At more secluded schools kids are as vulnerable, but it is easier to recognize the danger.

His taste in music sucks for the most part. I think several of those red words are actually bands.

I truly hope that Jeffrey Nichols is not another Ben Fawley. And I hope that Monica is found safe and sound. Thanks for posting her picture.

The 'shallow graves' one is the most interesting, considering where Taylor Behl was found.

Afraid to be realistic? Check the mirror, friend.
This poor girl was "involved" with a pedophile. Current evidence indicates that this pedophile is the prime suspect in her death.
Natalee Holloway got drunk in a foreign country and decided that it would be cool to "hook up" with one (or more) local boys, and she's gone.
These poor decisions by the two girls are most likely causitive factors in their demise.
And that statement is not the same as saying they deserved to die for their poor decision-making, which you will no doubt accuse me of saying.

Not to put too fine a point on it, consider this scenario:
An attractive young blonde women puts on only a bustier and a thong and goes walking through South Central Los Angeles, grabbing men by the crotch then laughing and running away. Eventually, she is captured and gang-raped and killed by, say, the Crips.
Did she "deserve" to be raped and killed for her behavior? No.
Was her behavior a causitive factor in her rape and murder? Yes.

which you will no doubt accuse me of saying.

Anything you say (real or imagined) is of no consequence. Your "hypotheticals" don't resemble anything I've read about this murder.

I've decided that before my daughter gets involved with ANYONE, I will be doing background checks. This case has cinched it for me.

Actually, I find nothing realistic in your words. Do you think that Ben told Taylor that he was a pedophile? Have you ever worked with mentally ill people? They are experts at appearing normal and fooling everyone around them. She may never have known, and if she did, it was too late. Even Ben's friends didn't know how old he was. How was Taylor to know?

There is no evidence that Natalee was drunk. The only people who have written that are people who have a need to think that she was. There is every evidence that she thought she was getting into a taxi when she got into that car. These criminals preyed upon beautiful young innocent tourists who visited their island. They had done so before.

Your mirror may reveal why you have a need to paint women so vulgarly.

I goggle my daughter's friends. It's amazing what you can find. Now she won't even tell me her friends' names.

That's a very good idea. Unmarried adults could also do the same.
