holier-than-thou comments you are making about a mother who just had her daughter's death confirmed.

Have a little compassion.

And the next time?

And the time after that?

These things have to be brought out in the open and talked about. As long as people like you and your politically correct thinking persist these things will go on and on.

These are 60's generation parents sending their kids into the world without a clue.

My daughter took martial arts classes at age 14. Still does. She's 25. We talk about these murders all the time. She is FAR more derisive about the victim than I ever thought of being. Her comment: STUPID GIRL! DEAD GIRL!.

I blame parents because I am a parent. She blames victims and says she would never put herself in a position to be a victim. I hope she's right.

She points out these were not street corner abductions, that Taylor and Natalie put themselves in harms way.

But you just go right ahead and blame the messenger. Until YOU come up with a way to detect and lock up murderers BEFORE they strike, don't you dare get on my case for saying we have to teach our daughters some street smarts.

"She is just another young girl let out onto the street like a piece of meat vulnerable to all kinds of chicanery and skullduggery, all in the name of "women's rights." You don't let young girls run wild and then cry when they turn up as ground beef. "

Don't think she was exactly running wild. Heard she loved to go skateboarding and everyone assumed that's where she had gone. Once they go away to college there isn't much anyone can do.

Young girls going off alone to college still gives me a shiver up my spine when I think about it. This girl was too young to "be out on her own".

Didn't she leave her dorm room because her roommate was entertaining a quest? Now, that sounds real good doesn't it?

"Well, her body has been found. The family can lay her to rest. Should I be printing these stories out to supplement the "birds and the bees" lecture?"

In my opinion, yes, you should use stories like these to supplement the birds and bees lecture. My daughter will be going to VCU (where Taylor was attending), in 2 years...her 2 brothers are already there. When I picked my daughter up at school this afternoon, this case was the first thing we discussed. We've discussed the Natalee Holloway case as well. It's brutal and ugly, but so is the world. Our daughters should not be sheltered from these stories...they should be used as examples of what's out there.

Skulz served a 30-day suspended sentence for the assault and battery described by the ex-lover -- it seems he's been pretty good at avoiding serious scrapes with the law since his time in prison for auto-theft in the late '80s/early '90s.

Hallmarks of a very adept sociopath. They slither out of everything, until they make a fatal mistake. Taylor was his. Did you post the second pic of this guy? It's the one with the longer hair. He's attractive, and certainly doesn't look 38. Did he lie to girls about his age?

I would not send my 17 year old daughter away today, to college, unless I knew she had an escort everywhere she went outside of her dorm

Then how would she get an education? I sent mine to college knowing I've taught her everything I know to teach her. She's responsible and well grounded, and at some point you have to let go and put them in God's hands.

you're an idiot, number one......

number two, where the hell is your condemnation of the FATHERS ?????....because of divorce, are they just exonerated?

and number three...it seems that young Ms. Behl was accepted into VCU , no small feat, so somehow, someway, that girl had some smarts......

she didn't use them, perhaps....but I 'd suppose you'd be happier if she didn't graduate from HS and became a Hooter waitress instead.....

go back to your cave!

I don't believe these are 60's generation parents, however they are 70's and 80's which proably are alot worse because of what tones were set in the 60's

Women having children in the 80's are now college aged.

Do you blame the 3000+ that died on September 11th, 2001?

Taylor wasn't killed in an office building doing her job.

From all accounts she was killed in the bedroom of a 38 year old man she went to "skate board with" at 11:30pm just after leaving her college boyfriend earlier that same evening.

So your example looks kind of childish now doesn't it.

Commonwealth University.

Around 10:30 p.m. on September 14, 2005, Ben Fawley put the following entry in one of his LiveJournals on September 14, 2005, only to remove it within a day -- emphasis is added:

We all hope Taylor is ok. I like others am worried about Taylor. I have given my statement to the police. If the police want you to have that they will provide you with it. I gave the police all information I have on Taylor. At this time my friends have convinced me it is time to stop talking. I have nothing to hide. I just have nothing more to add. To protect Taylor and myself I will not be talking to anyone about this subject. I don't feel I need a lawyer, but my friends feel that to talk to anyone more without one would be foolish on my part...

******

A reader took a close look at Taylor Behl's Livejournal and pointed out some things I felt were worth bringing to light here. I am uncertain as to whether this reader wants to be named, so I will not do so, but I do thank her for the heads-up.

First -- the following exchange between Taylor and Ben was found in a Livejournal entry the 17-year-old VCU student made April 8, 2005. I decided to go ahead and point to this dialogue between the 38-year-old photographer and Behl because it sheds more light on the nature of their relationship and Taylor's part in that relationship. Taylor wrote in the blog entry:

If you read this,
Even if I don't speak to you often,
You must post a memory of me.
It can be anything you want, good or bad,
Just so long as it happened.
Then post this to your journal.
See what people remember about you(...)

And Fawley responded:

...This very attractive girl climbed up into my bunk @ 407, the last girl to do so before the move...

Taylor wrote back a bit later; "well I was curious..." and three days after that response, on April 11, 2005, Skulz again commented; "...so was I...fact I still am.... :-p" In case Taylor's journal is one day taken off-line I have preserved the dialogue in a screenshot found at the bottom of this blog entry.

Five days later, according to an April 15, 2005 entry Fawley made in a Livejournal he apparently has recently deleted, Taylor Behl came to Richmond to visit Ben:

Tomorrow looks to be a very busy day if all goes as it should. Off early with Kathleen to help her with yet another art project. I am so glad the photos I took of her art showed it well enough for her to show them how good she is. She is up for a scholarship in the art department. That is due her talent, not my photos, but she needed good photos to show the work. Then I think Taylor should be here around noon, but then who knows. If she does I plan on taking her off to take photos in that spot I want to take some photos in. I think it would be a great place for photos. I wanted to take another there, but I don't think that will happen and Taylor is game...

Fawley later wrote in an entry in his Skulz67 Livejournal about Taylor's visit:

Then Taylor came down to Richmond to visit for the weekend. Got out to Belle Isle amongst other things. ::
:: I did some more playing in Photoshop. I have some of the simple wallpapers I have made up in my Photo Bucket if you would like to see. I didn’t do anything great as I am still playing around, but keeping it simple for now. I didn’t post all of the images I made into wallpaper, some I will not post for one reason or another. I got some photos, not as many as I would have liked, but Taylor looked cold...

Yet another doting mother who never managed to pass on a single clue about the dangers of the real world before turning her wide-eyed daughter loose.

I think you're being very unfair to the mother. I did some REALLY stupid things when I was young and foolish that could have ended badly for me, but for the grace of God.

My mom was great, I was stupid.

I thought the same thing when I saw the picture, he could pass as late 20's to early 30's. So yeah, he could've easily lied about his age and passed.

And if he's a sociopath, he can lay it on so thick you'd be smothered before you knew what happened. I can see him as a smooth talker, making a young girl feel special etc.

I agree, my mom did all she could to give me the best advice love and the morals I grew up with, but at 19 moved out and did some stupid things and eventually grew up.

My mother could not do anything about it I was over 18 and I let her know that every chance I could...

if you are referring to the Holloway case, then you sure as hell haven't been following....its been reported that that particular bar regularly served high octane liquor and also spiked the girls drinks with drugs....

and, that Nat probably thought she was getting into a taxi, because only one guy was showing and the car was similar to an ARuban taxi.....

people like you with such hatred for young women hopefully aren't married and don't have children....

Now what will Greta, Rita and the other evening cable shows do for ratings?

Well, it certainly won't be covering the plights of homely, obese, or elderly people. (...or anyone who doesn't have home videos)

If you had said "I'm sorry for this mother's loss. We should all prepare our daughters for the evil that awaits them" that would have been a site different than what you did say.

Oh- and I'm one of the least politically correct people you'll ever meet. I don't suppose I should be offended by your assumption, since you assumed Taylor's mother didn't teach her daughter about the evil in this world.

You never met Taylor or her mother. How do you KNOW she didn't teach her daughter how to defend herself? You think that every girl who fights back lives?

Add meth addict to the other personality disorders. Meth will make you bi-polar, if not a full blown sociopath.

Has anyone commented on drug use?

I'll call BS on the comment that he loves his children. If he loved his kids, he wouldn't be doing what he's doing. He'd straighten up and fly right.

Whoever wrote this message is a doormat, and an enabler.

Monica Rose Sharp, 17

The Richmond Police Department is continuing its investigation into the disappearance of Monica Sharp. The 17-year-old has been missing since Sept. 18. She left her home to walk the dog and did not return.

Monica Rose Sharp is a black female, 5’ 2”, 212 pounds. She has brown eyes, brown hair, and a medium complexion.

Police believe she may be in the company of an individual whom she recently met. That person is Jeffery Nichols, a black male, from Belleville, Ill. He is 57.

Excuse Me- I have no hatred for young women for crying out loud. There has been no documented evidence of that taking place in the Holloway case.

I am also not defending those idiots whom I believed killed her, However I do believe she made a grave mistake.

P.S Yes I am married and have a son, who recieves all sorts of provocative photos of girls from 15 to 19 on chat sites he visits.
