WOW I don't recall hearing that GEM!! Organized crime is so right. I once read that Clinton got into office in Arksas via the Southern Mafia or SOMETHING Mafia. I can't quite remember the exact word. Anyway, it had to do with a southern state group of Mafia types.

Whatever else may be said about him, Director Freeh was a Federal Judge, and knew his criminals. My pet theory as to why he never resigned during Clinton's tenure was to prevent someone more beholden to the Clintons taking office in his stead.

He was testifying to Congress or the Senate- can't recall which, but I saw it live on C-Span.

Backhoe was exactly right. When asked if he had ever seen so many witnesses flee the country or plead the Fifth, he said "Only in organized crime"!!
