LOL. From what I was able to stomach reading, Al Gore was upset that people get news from the internet. Considering that he invented it, he has nobody to blame but itself.

The internet is a formidable new medium of communication, but it is important to note that it still doesn't hold a candle to television more gore BS. what gore misses is that folks surf the web with the TV on because anyone who cares about the quality of the news they ingest may be watching a SHOW on TV, but they are reading their news from the internet, in my case, FR, FOXnews, and to see what the traitorous left is up to, USA Today, CNN and even the occasional WashPost.
Plus of course, the daily staple of blogs and conspiracy sites to find out what the grey aliens and reptilians were *really* up to when they steered katrina into the big easy... and of course, Debka.

"I am so thankful that this man was NEVER elected President and only by the grace of God did Bill Clinton serve out his term."
Now that you mention it, maybe that's exactly what happened.

And this is the guy Supreme Count nominee Miers wanted elected as president?

I thought maybe it was an aberration when three-quarters of Americans said they believed that Saddam Hussein was responsible for attacking us on September 11, 2001. But more than four years later, between a third and a half still believe Saddam was personally responsible for planning and supporting the attack.I don't know even one person who believes that, does anyone else?

Are we still routinely torturing helpless prisoners, I am reminded of the line in the great movie, 'The Man who Shot Liberty Valence':
"When legends become facts and facts become legend, report the legend, not the facts."

He is as transparent as his network. He thinks that because his opinion is no longer mainstream, that we've entered parallel universe. Now that's self-centered.
I actually believe that after 911, the US has transformed from a process-oriented society to a results-oriented one. That makes the Hill/Bill/Al/Harry/Kerry faction less relevant to the public discourse. The days of PCism, treating terrorists as criminals, libs getting a free pass by the media, and legislating from the bench are fading fast. The proff is the fact that it takes Sheehan, accusations of 10,000 dead, National Guard stories, etc. to create a pause to the shift right. I'm liking it!
ok/rant off.

No, I've been around awhile, but I keep getting banned. I guess I keep trying to make FR something it isn't -- a forum to exchange conservative ideas rather than a place to type insults about defeated presidential candidates.
To: truthandlife
"It is no longer possible to ignore the strangeness of our public discourse".
And we all knew just how strange you were before, but you seem to be getting stranger as time goes by.
I cannot speak for the rest of the people here, but on the evening of 9/11, I got down on my knees and thanked God that you were not the President.

Amost all the trends that Gore claims to deplore in this speech started
during the clinton-Gore administration, and are part and parcel of clintonian New World Orderism!!!! That includes the OJ-obsession, the meltdown of the press, and especially
BOGUS wars, exemplified by clinton's wars and sanctions against the noble Serbs!!!! And it was Algore that was pushing for intervention in "Bosnia"!!!!
Before he attacks Bush, Algore should look in the mirror. When he does, he might see clinton staring back at him!!!!
