Could be... I figure Mac Brown would do most anything to win this year. Maybe he figured a bombing would cancel the game and then he wouldn't have to get beat by OU again this year... you know.... I always thought he looked a little bit middle eastern :)
According to the article, the quoted officer made sure to say it was SOP to have it there. I remember reading that and thinking "Really?"
Will do.
They aren't owned by the NY Times corporation either. Unlike one of their competing channels.
Here, there's a campaign that if you have unused tickets to give them back to the athletic dept. so they can give them to bigbrothers/bigsisters or to put them on a premium ticket sales site so the chairs won't go empty. But......NOBODY, I don't think, has received harassing emails like yours.....
Next thing you know, you'll be getting one that says, "You spent too much time tailgating and your ticket wasn't scanned until 3 minutes after the kickoff. Next time, don't drink that extra beer please."
Quite a bit of the nuttier parts of the Koran read reasonably in Syrian-Aramaic (church Aramaic) rather than in Arabic.
That's because the whole thing started out with a missionary's manual ~

These guys think they get "double credit" for doing this stuff during Ramadan.
>>are yall thinkin this was a plot against OU specifically?<<
I doubt it. I'm no Islamic terrorist expert, just a guy killin' time at the keyboard. :-)
Just a weird scenario. But what do I know? Not much.
My kids and I are still going to the games at Owen Field. Must admit I will be looking around a lot more and I had better see a huge police presence around the stadium and get rid of those rent-a-cops that don't check bags.
All I want is very simple -- close down that Islamic Center Mosque once and for all and quit coddling the Middle East students on OU. Not much to ask!
Tereeesa's rum raisins?
"Here, Johnny. Will you carry this strangely stinky backpack into the stadium for me?"
"Oh, sure, my good mooselimb friend Mohammed Abdul Fladabbadingy, as long as there is not a bomb in there."
Methinks the kid knew exactly what he was involved in.
Arrest the source.
How about tear down...
There are lots of maybes. At the core of it, it's not unfair to say that all leads at this point are tentative and there are likely damn few facts fully vetted. It could take weeks or months to fully run out all the possibilities... and especially if there are leads that have to be chased overseas.
I think the one thing we can say so far... is that out of all the possibilities, this one came out pretty well, all things considered. Maybe it was blind luck. Maybe the good guys helped it happen this way. But it could have been a hell of a lot worse, and it wasn't.
How about tear down...
How about tear down...
"I heard somewhere that Nichols couldn't get his bomb-making skills useful until after his visit to Phillipines."
Anyone who knew the proper proportions of ingredients in an AMFO explosive and "couldn't get his bomb-making skills useful" couldn't mix cake batter, either. It ain't rocket science.
I somehow forgot him. The cast of characters who's terrorism-related trail passes through Oklahoma is turning as strange and sullied as those in New Orleans just before the Kennedy assassination.
