I saw an alert earlier today to the Dallas authorities to increase security. Personally I think that will be the safest game to attend after what happened!
Thank you - exactly. The authorities MAY be able to shut them up for a day or two, but that's it. And even that requires major behind the scenes negotiation. National security or not. The media is in control - and that is what we are fighting here!
I got it. Lucky for us, there's actually some adults running foreign policy.
We don't target the innocent. They do. Please try to keep up.

The FBI has found no evidence so far that a University of Oklahoma student who died in a bombing Saturday night tried to get inside the football stadium or had ties to any terrorist organization, officials said Tuesday....
Anything more on the bomb sweep before the game?
I believe it was confirmed that one was performed, but was it SOP?
I just go to a little dinky school in KS, and students get in free here.
I guess I am surprised students have to pay elsewhere.
The (CENSORED) Network has received exclusive information from reliable law enforcement sources that the explosion that killed 21 year-old O.U. student Joel Henry HINRICHS III was to be much larger and was part of a much more deadly planned attack targeting the fans in the packed stadium. In the style reminiscent of the blast at the Murrah building that killed 171 people on 19 April 1995, it was also confirmed that HINRICHS attempted to purchase a large quantity of the fertilizer ammonium nitrate, the very same compound that was used in the Ryder truck bomb just miles from where the Murrah building once stood, and a favorite bomb component used by Middle Eastern terrorists.
It appears that HINRICHS was part of a larger plan that included members of an Islamic terrorist cell based in and around the Norman and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area. As a Caucasian, it was much easier for him to obtain the materials needed to create a large bomb, act in concert with members of the local terrorist cell, and strike when relative calm was the word of the day, stated this source.
The source added: Federal authorities are investigating HINRICHS roommates, friends and companions, some from Pakistan, who were on a watch list of potential terrorists in that area. Sources of funding and financing are also under investigation, and arrests are very possible. Thankfully, more than a few things went wrong, but the failed plan left HINRICHS holding the bag in the end literally, added this source. Otherwise, we could have had a bombing on the scale of Oklahoma City in 1995.
One can only hope and pray. I'm quite nervous about this but I pray that I am only a tinfoil wearing, Olympic style worrier. I'd rather be wrong than right in this situation.
"They said on the local radio news, here in the Dallas area, that they won't be increasing security for the Texas/OU game this weekend..."
That may be what they say, but I hope that ain't what they do.
"So are we going to see a press conference, an orange alert, a warning to campuses..... anything?"
Not with the christmas shopping season fast approaching. The economy is the almighty most important thing isn't it?
Evening news here in okc said tonight that there won't be more security officers at the game when OU beats Texas.... but they did say that the officers would be more "on the watch" for suspicios people and vehicles.
You just painted a horrible but believeable scenario in my mind...State Fair...OU Texas game...
If they don't increase security, they are crazy. And they AIN'T crazy!
Same local time? That's a way to say it doesn't matter that they were, what... 10,000 miles and 12 hours apart?
No... that doesn't look coordinated to me.
That's my feeling was well -- the petroleum engineering school is recognized around the world along with the Sarkey's Energy Center. Those are definite draws. What makes me so mad is that when a student decides they don't want to attend school, their visa isn't immediately pulled and they are deported.
Time to tell the ACLU and other organizations that put the rights of non-citizens over the rest of us to take a hike! A foreign student on a visa should have zero right to privacy when it comes to their records especially if they have outstayed their visa.
Ping to this post from the "shall remain unnamed" site.
I don't know...haven't really heard that much.
Hmmmmmmm...
That must have been this afternoon, because I heard this morning it was going to be SOP..
Maybe the FBI said something to get them to put out that alert...
Gosh, I have to say...the weather is supposed to be sunny and 75 degrees...and we have had HOT, HOT weather...so I bet that the Fair will be packed like sardines...
I hope they watch carefully, especially if this guy had friends...if you know what I mean...
