I cannot speak from authority but Dan Rather would say if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck.
Reason #1: Homeland Security needs to find his accomplices and the al-Qaeda cell (if any) behind this. They can't roll up this organization if the MSM is all over it. It's important not to panic the rats so badly that they flee the country.
Reason #2: The government doesn't want to panic the people. There is the threat of misguided vigilante violence aimed at mosques and Muslims in general. With the army and the national guard abroad, the last thing we need is to have civil strife here.
The government is just trying to be prudent and responsible.

Kind of curious what the those who mocked those questioning the lack of national media coverage have to say now?
Surely, these new details warrant at least a blurb on CNN, MSNBC, or FOX?
I suppose you are right about that but I wonder if they want it broadcast that their stooge botched it so badly.

He refused to submit to having his backpack searched, and fled. Three times. From what I've read on the other threads, Hinrichs got caught up in tightened entry searches during halftime, because of concerns about students entering the stadium with concealed alcohol.

I wondered about that too, but maybe they want to try to let him lead them to others.... I sure hope they are doing a full, thorough investigation!! Don't need any more Clintonista-type investigations in our lifetimes.
Here is the scary part. How many other things have occured that have been completely obscured. This one almost went away.
How is this crap ever going to get resolved unless people are awakened to the threat around them.

If Dan Rather said it, it's probably a crocodile. And he probably had it made with a computer program to make it.
In contrast, the Pakis up in Lodi, CA with terrorist ties that were arrested/deported/awaiting trial, have been all over the local news in the Big Valley.
Minimal coverage on the national scene though.
