But it was so long ago. Nobody cares. It was the '60's (OK I saw the date, but 1972 was politically the 60's). He was just a stupid kid. Hey, the guy he shot lived, so its all right.

I am surprised he was arrested after thirty four years. There is no statute of limitation on murder in any state but without a death involved can the prosecution make the charge stick?
