As long as they teach the bible literally, word by word, chapter by chapter...
To: freedomdefender
Only to the MSM would this be considered "news."
To: freedomdefender
This happens all the time in Baptist and other churches.

Protestants who have problems with their Church form another one. Catholics just simply stop going.

You know, I wish people like you would quit posting GOOD stuff about the nominee.
I want to be able to bash the President with impunity in order to raise my own conservative credentials.

I find the fact that she joined a breakaway church a POSITIVE. It shows she has strong convictions, and isn't a go-with-the-consensus kind of person. Less likely to be a Kennedy or O'Connor, in other words.

That shouldn't be too much longer...LOL

Great, we need to hear about the internal gossip and and squabbles in her church? All so we can find the answer to the one and only question everyone cares about, abortion.
I long for the day that one-issue myopia no longer has to not only dominate, but completely obliterate any other considerations.

LOL. Some have joked that most Baptist church starts don't start by planting new congregations, but by "splits" in existing congregations.
It sounds from this article like the new pastor was going off in some new areas to probably increase the size of the congregation. And the former pastor led a group to hang on to the Biblical fundamentals that had been a part of the church when he was there. So this is no big deal.Except is shows that Ms. Meirs will stick by her beliefs inpite of what's going in in the world around her.
This may a good character trait as a Supreme Court justice.

I agree that this suggests Miers is a person with convictions. I started out disappointed with this pick, but I'm liking her more each day.
To: freedomdefender
It shows she has strong convictions, and isn't a go-with-the-consensus kind of person. You mean she won't worship at the church of stare decisis?
