NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- The Pakistani roommate of a man authorities say died when he detonated an explosive device outside a crowded football stadium was led in handcuffs from a party shortly after Saturday's explosion, the head of an Islamic student group said.
Fazal M. Cheema, a finance major, shared a university-owned apartment with Joel Hinrichs III, 21, who died Saturday when a device attached to his body exploded as he sat on a bench outside George Lynn Cross Hall.
Cheema and three other Muslim students were led in handcuffs from a party by police after the blast, Ashraf Hussein, president of the Muslim Student Association, said Tuesday. They later were released...
...OU President David Boren said authorities continue to believe that Hinrichs... acted alone. He said Hinrichs' roommate, along with his acquaintances, were questioned by federal authorities...
The FBI said in a statement Tuesday that there is no current threat posed by additional explosive materials, that there is no known threat from anyone else related to the incident and that there is no known link between Hinrichs and any terrorist or extremist organization or activities...
Meanwhile, Norman feed store operator Dustin Ellison said Hinrichs attempted to purchase ammonium nitrate a few days before the explosion...a key ingredient in the 1995 attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
The FBI told [Hinrich's father]...more high-density hydrogen peroxide was found in the apartment.

So, the MSM and government's line is that it was a suicide by a depressed boy. So was Charles Bishop/Bishra (the pimple cream made him fly into that bank, remember?).
Unfortunately his suicide note (which was released a month later, due to a threat he made against the Super Bowl) praised Bin Laden and cast no doubt as to why he did what he did.
Will we see this man's suicide note? Or is it "private" like the interview Nick Berg conducted with Michael Moore's second unit film crew?

"They throw huge parties lasting until dawn with tons of booze and good food. Many non Pakistanis are invited. Some of the women are strikingly beautiful. For young Euro-Americans, there might be a certain allure that arises from this situation."
Must have learned this from the way the university recruits football players.

"The cache is so big that the Oklahoman quoted one of the officials on the scene as estimating a full 24 hours would be required to cart away all of the material."
Add to that the fact that the substance involved gives off an acrid smell.

I know what you mean. I'm disappointed in Michael Delgiorno.
When his anchor a few days ago brought up the possibility of terrorism, Delgiorno laughed it off as being impossible.

It is a definite, unmistakeable correlation factor. Assuming for the sake of argument that Musharraf actually does try to straddle the fence, still, he has never upended the ISI. The ISI remains an institution fundamentally hostile to - the West, India, ASEAN, South Pacific countries, Australia and the few truly free countries elsewhere. This fact cannot be glossed over or denied.

FBI officials released little information except to say there isnt a known link between Hinrichs and terrorist or extremist organizations, no one else is believed to be involved and there is no known threat posed by additional explosives.
Special Agent Gary Johnson said the investigation is continuing. He declined to comment on reports that explosives were removed from Hinrichs apartment.

This is a find from a search of Tulsa TV articles. KOTV6 has no information at all. KTUL was chock full of info. KTUL revealed following items. It's an update and also a good 2nd witness to my initial reports of KRMG's interviews with Hinrich's dad and sister, Berkeley.
Investigation Continues Into Explosion At OU
Tuesday October 04, 2005 5:35pm Reporter: Cindy Morrison Posted By: Kevin King
http://www.ktul.com/news/stories/1005/265819.html Norman - University of Oklahoma President David Boren announced tighter security at football games, including more intense searches of fans' bags. It comes after an OU student was killed in an apparent suicide explosion. Was the OU student simply trying to kill himself, or was he trying to take others out with him in the explosion? NewsChannel 8's Cindy Morrison was at the OU game Saturday night. And, today, she followed up her report calling as far away as Scotland Yard to try and find answers.
Most people inside the stadium Saturday night had no idea the loud noise heard and felt before halftime was a bomb. A frightening thought -- a bomb going off next to a stadium with more than 80-thousand people.
The man behind the device was 21-year old OU student Joel Hinrichs. His family says he was suicidal. But, did he also want to kill others? Today, we finally had a chance to confront the rumor that Hinrichs tried numerous times to get into the stadium that night.
The FBI (website )is now heading up the case and had no comment today. But, sources in law enforcement confirm Hinrichs used a very unstable explosive that may well have gone off early by accident.
Some published reports claim Hinrichs' bomb was the same homemade explosive used recently in London. Acetone peroxide is extremely volatile. Experts tell us it can detonate if dropped even an inch.
We called Scotland Yard today and were told if Saturday's bomb was the same material as the London bombings, the FBI would have contacted them. But, the investigator overseas wouldn't confirm if that had happened.
The investigation into the explosion continues. And, investigators are trying to find out what Hinrichs had in mind that night. Our sources do confirm evidence in Hinrichs' apartment shows he made the explosive and even tested it prior to Saturday night.
Another security measure announced by President Boren was that there will be no more returning to the stadium if you leave during halftime.
Family Says Explosion Death May Have Been An Accident, Not Suicide
Monday October 03, 2005 10:42am
http://www.ktul.com/news/stories/1005/265385.html Norman (AP) - The father of the University of Oklahoma student killed in an explosion says he is clinging to the idea that it was unintentional.
Officials say engineering student Joel Henry Hinrichs the Third died when an explosive attached to his body detonated Saturday.
Joel Henry Hinrichs Junior says his son had trouble making friends and took a year off college to try to cope with depression.
His sister, Berkeley Hinrichs, says her brother said he wasn't sure what he wanted to do with his life.
She also says it's possible her brother was doing an experiment and didn't mean to kill himself.
[Sullys comment: Berkeley is such a popular conservative name for a girl]
OU Student Tried To Buy Ammonium Nitrate Before Explosion

FBI Releases Identity Of Person Killed In Explosion
http://www.ktul.com/news/stories/1005/266002.html Norman (AP) - The operator of a feed and seed store in Norman says the University of Oklahoma student who died in an apparent suicide explosion tried to buy ammonium nitrate three days before the blast.
Joel Hinrichs the third died Saturday in the explosion near Memorial Stadium where more than 80-thousand people were watching the O-U-Kansas State football game.
Dustin Ellison of Ellison Feed and Seed says Hinrichs acted strangely and was wearing a vest with what appeared to be wires in it when he asked for ammonium nitrate fertilizer. Ammonium nitrate was used by Timothy McVeigh to build the bomb he used in the Oklahoma City bombing.
Ellison says he decided he wouldn't sell Hinrichs anything and says the store quit selling the fertilizer in April because of new federal requirements for extra paperwork.
The F-B-I declined comment on Ellison's statements but issued a statement saying they've found no connection between Hinrichs and any terrorist organization.

I guess because Hinrichs acted strangely and was wearing a vest with what appeared to be wires in it didn't enter into it..
