still down here in San Diego (RR) as well.

RR has my complaint, but as I understand it from tortoise's posts, there is little they can do beyond trying to get involved as a mediator.

Hello-

I work for Level 3 and can vouch for the previous comments; we have depeered Cogent, which means that any customer or third party with Level 3, such as roadrunner, will not be able to connect to cogent websites, and vice versa.

Obviously i have a dog in the fight, but its for good reason.

I understand that, but if it starts to lose them actual money, they might work a little harder on that mediation thing, don't ya think? I might even feel sorry for them if it were some small company or an inexpensive dial-up service, but here in Houston, RR is about as expensive as it gets, and when it works, it can't be beat, but when something goes wrong, well, you are just kinda screwed for at least a week. Their service sucks. I hate that. I want what I pay for.

I don't know about elsewhere in the US, but here in Houston, a couple years ago there was a big deal about Time_Warner, which is our cable carrier here, and Disney channel, and they tried to drop our local ABC affiliate along with all the disney owned channels, till they started losing customers. They fixed that situation real fast. Money talks.
