An Ambulance Runs Over and Kills a Victim It Was Sent to Save
A Chinese man, who was injured in a traffic accident, was run over by an ambulance which was coming to his rescue, and killed, according to Oct. 5th edition of South China Morning Post, an English language daily in Hong Kong. The report says that, on the evening of Sept. 30, in Tai-an, Sandong Province, Song Xu-zhong(age:29) was going home in a motorcycle with his wife when he ran into a minibus. He was injured and lay on the roadside, but '120 Ambulance' ran over him, killing him at the scene. The ambulance, which belonged to No. 1 People's Hospital in Tai-an, came 40 minutes after receiving the accident report, with its siren blaring. Unfortunately, its driver could not see him in time, resulting in (another) accident. It could not stop until it went 10m past (the spot where he lay.) Song's family were contesting the ruling that the hospital is responsible for 50% of the blame, while the deceased and the driver share the other 50%, and intend to file a suit for damage award against the hospital (Hong Kong, Yonhap News)

Ping!
I guess it really was his time to go.
Karma
His karma ran over his dogma.
Bad Chinese drivers?
I see ambulance chasing has hit Red China. If I wanted to, I could make a really-bad Clinton joke, but I'll ask why couldn't they have simply stopped at stealing the tort lawyers?
Here lies Song Xu-zhong,
Hit once but not gone,
Tried to save him,
But the ambulance went too long.
