Will is right. Period. The ad hominem attacks fall flat and just show weak intellect. Agree with you. I guess the hope is that Miers will just rubber stamp Scalia's opinions. Bush had plenty of other choices who were known quantities and had the requisite expertise and experience.

The Constitution does not explicitly establish any qualifications for Justices of the Supreme Court.
