Former NC senator John Edwards, failed candidate for the presidency and failed Democrat nominee for vice president, was quite famous during his ambulance chasing days for reading the minds of the unborn. They're apparently quite self-aware, which makes Edwards' pro-abortion stance all the more puzzling, and disturbing.

Absolutely amazing, isn't it? Some of this, at least parts of it, some of us already knew or suspected, but it bears repeating and investigating further in our pro-death culture. Thanks for this!

I am copying this and passing it out to my neighbors who are working in the pro life area. They will love this, as it confirms what we already know. The baby is alive with feelings and emotions in the womb. Dear God protect these little ones from this evil death culture we have.

Yeah, sure, all a kid needs is two loving parents -- if they are both non-related fathers, so what? /sarc off

On the very little ones born before their term, we have recently experimented with a system of analgesia based on non-pharmacological techniques of distraction. We were right.

Yikes. What will the drug addicts do with this? Can you imagine them becomeing addicted to distraction?

Please add me to your list. I love articles that confirm this. When I was about five months pregnant with my daughter, I was sitting in my car waiting for my husband to get out of work. I believe I was listening to Dr. Laura. Absently, I started drumming, lightly, on my stomach to the intro of New Attitude.

Within seconds, my daughter started raising a holy ruckus in there, moving around like the little acrobat/soccer player she was. I felt like such a jerk for waking her up.

Every so often, my husband and I will watch the video tape of her sonagram. I was late in getting it done--about six months along. We still marvel at the activity, expressions, movements. In one segment, she rubs her eyes, yawns and stretches, and it is the very same face and body movement she does to this day. How anyone can say its just a lump of tissue is beyond me.

Two and a half years later, she's wearing pull up pants and has a penchant for Spongebob Squarepants and Charles Mingus. She's a great kid.

One of the gals at a bank I visited was quite pregnant - I joked with her that she'll need to get one of the bank's buzzing and thunking dot-matrix printers set up in the baby's bedroom to soothe him to sleep. She chuckled, and said that he does indeed wake up when she leaves work.

Thank you for copying and pasting this information. The more this word is spread the better the odds for the unborn. May God have mercy on us all!

Absolutely amazing, isn't it?

This goes way beyond amazing and draws us deeper into the spiritual nature of God's creation. Perhaps the question now is: Why do we, as a society, ignore the most evident scientific documentation on the origins of birth? That answer separates those of us who believe in a Supreme Being from those who view life as nothing more than a commodity to be manipulated and abused.

Wonderful!!

If I may also share? Know how hard it is to keep kids still and quiet at the theatre? I was 5 months pregnant w/ our son when we went to see the Nutcracker Ballet at the Fox Theatre. From the pre-performance music in the pit to driving home in the car he NEVER stopped moving! All that music!!
Late nite for baby, but he seemed to enjoy himself all the same!

Great article, but not new news to me. I remember seeing an anti-abortion video through my church (almost 20 years ago) called "The Silent Scream". It showed an unborn baby recoiling in fear and letting out what appears to be silent scream as he was touched by a needle. That video had a lasting impact on me. It should be REQUIRED viewing for anyone contemplating an abortion. These children are NOT lumps of tissue, they are children....living, feeling, sensing children. God forgive us for our sins.

Our now-12 year old son underwent amniocentesis at about 13 weeks gestation. We were amazed to watch him on the ultrasound during the procedure. When the needle entered "his space", he reached up with his hand to examine the intruding object. The doctor had to wait patiently for him to finish his examination before finishing the procedure. Hardly just a lump of tissue.

The same son went absolutely nuts when we attended a jazz concert a month or so before he was born. We thought he disliked the drum solo because he was so active. Now I'm not so sure. He's developing a fondness for jazz in his piano studies. Makes you go hmmmm.

The fetus responds to the stimuli that come through the mother's womb.

My husband and I first realized this 13 years ago when our son would startle and jump around inside of my womb upon suddenly hearing loud music.

My oldest son loved singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to his sister before she was born. Two years later, guess what her favorite song still is? :)

I think most moms knew this stuff already!
