They're not. Guess you don't live here.

You can't be serious. Even Tom Delay from Texas said just last month that it's out of control and they should start deporting them. Interesting, several weeks after announcing this, he's now out of job, at least temporarily anyway.

Do you need to live in Phoenix to know it's hotter than blazes. And like Texas, straining under the weight of illegal aliens? The fact is, Texas is now home to several million illegal aliens. It's no secret.

There are a zillion articles that will tell you all about it. Here is just one.

Texans press Bush on immigration 09/21/2005 Express-News Washington Bureau

WASHINGTON — Fed up with what it sees as the government's inability to control the border with Mexico, a bipartisan group of Texas lawmakers is asking President Bush to free up federal funds to better enforce immigration laws and control violence, citing a failure of the federal government to enforce laws and stanch the flow of undocumented immigrants.

Texas lawmakers, in a letter to Bush, said undocumented immigrants, many from countries other than Mexico, "are crossing the border by the hundreds on a daily basis."

"They are presenting an immediate danger to the lives of people in every Texas community and beyond. We strongly urge you to take action now," said Rep. Henry Bonilla, R-San Antonio, the lawmaker leading the effort.

Our border towns are not chaotic and lawless. It's just not true.

I'm not saying there isn't a problem with illegals crossing over. There is.

But your characterization of the actual situation along the border is ridiculous. Hell, the border cities in Texas don't even have a significant gang problem.

I realize illegal immigration is your main focus in life, so let's continue this discussion on another thread. It's not relevant to this one.
