Whatever I am done with this whole issue. I no longer care. Happy? Soul Seeker happy? Mark is calling me an idiot for trusting Bush. So that's OK with me. whatever at this point. I don't have a national forum. I am on the same bandwagon I was on 2000. So that is that.

Stop! I never said any such thing. This is an honest discussion. And I appreciate you very much.

I still don't understand the problem with the nomination, because she may be a "stealth" conservative.

Do some want to make it and endless merry-go-round with Senate blocking all nominations like they did when Daschle was running things? It will take more Senators with some jewels before we can get superior nominations to Supreme Court (LIEberals last bastion of hope to install communism).

No, I am not happy.

I am not happy because you seem to think the world is against you here. I am not happy because for some reason you hear Mark calling you an idiot though he has not.

Why can it not be understood that disagreement over this nomination does not invalidate your assessment of this nomination or your faith in the President? It is simply disagreement. It's allowed, it's healthy in a democracy and in a conservative movement.

I've certainly been in the minority opinion of the conservative movement and the President before, but I did not take it personally. Disagreement is allowed.

But, if this bothers you, so be it. I'm sorry it does. No one is trying to make you feel bad or depressed because we disagree. No one is trying to make you feel inferior. I'm sorry if that is what you feel, but it is not the intention at all.

I need to leave now for a meeting... some political shenanigans have gone on in town and I need to provide some support.

Won't be around tomorrow either, so hopefully I'll see everyone on Thursday!

hmmmm....I suppose I'm in that "idiot" category, also. Oh well...this is soooo typical. Conservatives have made snatching defeat from victory into an art form.

Considering that Mark is a Constitutional Scholar, and an expert on the Supreme Court he is more riled up about this particular action than he gets on other things. I don't really think he's seriously calling all of us who say we'll wait and see how this turns out, and that it's Bush's choice idiots. He's just very angry over something important to him. It's understandable since he has spent a lot of time and energy on this subject and he feels betrayed. He has a national forum, as you said, so he's using it to let everyone know he's ticked. He's entitled. This too shall pass. The Mark we know and love will return eventually!

Please take a step back def...the fact that you are hearing insults where there are none indicates that you are taking this not just too seriously but personally.

This is a discussion forum not a choir rehearsal; we do not all have to be on the same page 100% of the time. Bush is our choice here but he is not infallible. There are legitimate reasons for many of us to be less than pleased with aspects of his performance. This choice is one of them. It is unfortunate that your world allows no room for dissention from your position.
