Many gun owners are speculating about why Kilgore (a Republican) refuses to answer basic questions about his position on gun law in Virginia.
Are we dealing with a RINO here?

Kilgore is strong on protecting gun ownership. Heck his campaign is at every gun show in the state of Va.

Really?
What evidence do you have? What are his positions on gun control?
That's the problem, no one knows.
I helped campaign for him and signed the petitions to get his name on the ballot.
But, I am not lifting a damn finger or contributing another penny until he answers the survey.

I will tell you what. I have a Kilgore for Governor sign posted on my property. If he will not take a position on this matter, I simply will not vote at all and see what happens.

The more important question is, if KG loses, who wins?

It is simple courtesy that is lacking from Kilgore.
Many of us did the leg work, were at the gun shows, signed the petitions, donated money to his campaign.
We are his base - Virginia Republicans.
Then when asked to simply fill out an election survey on his position on gun rights and legislation, Kilgore refuses?
This stinks to high heaven. He used us.

Didn't Tim Kaine join Jenny Granholm and back the "million" moron march?

Not filling the survey out is only half of the story. The other half is that he found it necessary to dump on the VCDL as a cover. What sort of person would do this sort of thing?

....I simply will not vote at all and see what happens. If you are not voting out of protest then there is no way your vote can be quantified as a protest. I suggest you write in a candidate. Quite a few folks are writing in the name "Phillip VanCleave". He is the president of the VCDL.
If there are a couple thousand (or more) votes for Mr. VanCleave (or any candidate)on election day it warrants recognition by the media. If the race is as close as everyone says and Kilgore loses, He will be able to see that and know why.

I don't know why he didn't answer the survey, and neither do you. But if you want to learn about Kilgore's and Kaine's views on gun control, save yourself some time and check out their NRA ratings. The NRA gives Kilgore an "A" rating and endorsed him as Attorney General in the 2001 general election and as Governor in the 2005 GOP primary. Kaine, on the other hand, has an "F" rating from the NRA (defined as "a true enemy of gun-owners rights"). If you truly care about the right to keep and bear arms, you should support Kilgore and disregard whether or not he answers that survey.

And gun-grabber Kain will be the Governor. Yay!

Are we dealing with a RINO here? While I don't know why Kilgore has not addressed the VCDL survey, I DO know that Jerry Kilgore is no RINO.
He HAS been endorsed by the Virginia Shooting Sports Association and by the NRA Political Victory Fund.
And let's be clear (and honest) about our choices here. As much as Timmy Kaine says he is pro 2nd Amendment, he used Richmond City funds to pay for buses to the Million Moo March. He was embarrassed into reimbursing the city from his own funds.
He's no friend to gun owners.

We cannot afford Kaine, who has a F rating from the NRA.
We must all support Kilgore (A rating from NRA) and work to encourage him to make positive changes.
Kaine is NOT able.......

Don't get me wrong. I am not advocating protest votes. I am just telling him that in order for his protest to count it has to be quantifiable. You can't count a non-vote, unless you are a Palm Beach County Democrat.
Personally I do not want Kaine to win. But Jerry Kilgore's team's got some 'splainin to do.

I have to say I am about over all the doom and gloomers who seem to refuse to look at ALL the facts before pontificating about how someone is a RINO or worse.
I've got my concerns about the governor's race - but it sure as heck is not on the 2nd Amendment. Kilgore's position is entirely clear on that.
Hubby knows he has to reset the Kilgore sign in the yard when he gets home from work (it got blown down over night, but things were hectic around here this morning)

Exactly. There are definite concerns.
But anyone who doesn't see that Jerry is the best candidate on 2nd Amendment issues just isn't paying attention.
