Maybe when Earle runs out of grand jury's, he can get Judge Judy to serve Tom with a bench warrant.

"technical grounds" re 1st indictment -- at the time of the alleged acts, there was no law against the alleged conduct
"technical grounds" re 2nd indictment -- (no defense motion yet, but it's probably coming) -"money laundering " requires transaction involving "proceeds of criminal activity". Here, the "proceeds" were political donations which were not illegal--hence, they are not "proceeds of criminal activity"
Earle's indictments appear to be mere farts in the wind.

"Technical glitch???"
AP ***holes. The "technical glitch" was that it was not a crime at the time.

Disgraceful--but that's Texas politics

AUSTIN, Texas - Rep. Tom DeLay was indicted for a second time...
I believe it was the first time again becuase the first indictment was thrown out on technical grounds.
Only Dem's seem to get "do-overs".

Two other members of Congress have been indicted since 1996.Gee, why did the AP chose to only go back to post-1996? Could it be because Dan Rostenkowski(D-Illinois) was indicted in 1994 and convicted in 1996?

This seems to be right up there with trying to charge Andrew Jackson with counterfeiting 20 dollar bills because his picture is all over em....
Earle needs a good asswhuppun and a flush from politics yesterday. Austin is infested with idgits and their socialist handlers.....doom on em all !

Is there a prosecutor in Massachusetts interested in looking into a certain car accident in Chappaquiddick a few decades ago?

lol
In their ,, uhhmm, hmumm,, defense,, they had to draw a line somewhere (/sarc)
.. and let's not mention Alcee Hastings, who now sits there today as a representative (of what?)
Too bad they didn't go back to the days of check kiting,, ;-)

I believe we are witnessing with this assault upon, Tom DeLay, an example of why Republicans so often cave to Dems demands, even when the Republicans are the majority.
The Republicans merely have the truth on their side, while the democrats are backed up by the most fanatical, spiteful and zealous Judges,Prosecutors and major MSMites that the twisted logic of extreme left lunacy can rot the brains of.
Let Conservative Republicans support DeLay with all their might, or else don't ever again ask, why the Republican Majority kisses the ass of the Democrat minority!

I can't in good conscious jump behind Tom DeLay when I don't know the details. What details are you lacking? Everything Delay and his PAC did are now in the public record. Only the strings that were pulled in order to get the indictments are shrouded in secrecy.
To: dreamforfree
If "the process" takes a solid conservative out of a leadership position at least until he is cleared and quite possibly permanently, do you still support it? This opens up EVERY Republican Congressman to be forced out by malicious prosecution by a Democrat AG back home. DeLay should be filing suit for prosecutorial misconduct and malicious prosecution ASAP!

If we had a Attorney General and a President with any balls at all, Earle would have been slapped with an abuse of power Charge as well as Blackmail (his offering to drop charges on corporations which he himself indited for monitary donations to his pet projects)
The best defense is a good offense

Too bad we couldn't get someone to check into the "HillPac" proceeds that Ms. Clinton is in charge of...Sure would like to see where all her money surfaces from and if it would survive a grand jury investigation?
