Some people have a bias for experienced judges on the Supreme Court. I don't share it.
The problem with a well experienced judge is the judge most likely has, at least once, gone along under the doctrine of stare decisis, in the destruction of an innocent person.
It's probably best for us to have folks on the highest court who have not prticipated in judicial murder.

I love Ann! But there is a reason she is a pundit and President Bush is the POTUS.

So what makes Brown, Owens, and Jones so great? Lets have some reasons not like a Democrat talking point. This is what it is beginning to sound like. Personally, I'll reserve my comments until I watch the hearings. Fair enough? You may look foolish in the long run.

What evidence do you have that Meirs is not a conservative?
Rick Santorum is not going to vote against a pro-life evangelical like Meirs. Don't kid yourself.

As for "taking someone apart"...it is pretty easy to do when that person is not there to defend themselves.
As for who Ann Coulter would pick...ask her when someone elects her to be President.

"Yeah, she's praising Roberts now, after putting him through the meat grinder. "From the original post...
"...called Judge Roberts "a 'dream' candidate in light of this nomination"
I believe what she is saying is that this nomination makes Judge Roberts (who she was opposed to) look good.

Politically speaking, the Bush presidency may end up being an electoral disaster for Republicans when all is said and done. Let's see. Two presidential victories, increased numbers in the House and Senate in 2000, 2002, and 2004.
Yep. An electoral disaster for sure.

Why the assumption that JRB would lose in the Senate? Yeah, it would be bloody, but is this something not worth fighting for in the GOP? Which GOP Senators would do the fighting?

It's awful funny that folks fall prostrate on the ground before Coulter normally but when she doesn't toe the President's line, she's suddenly "underfed" and "crazy" and a "sunshine patriot." Just look at the comments on this thread already. Because Ann is wrong here. Read the other comments and threads that take apart her arguments. This is nothing but high-pitched shrill coming from Ann, which is equivalent to the press releases NARAL and other left-wing groups spew when Bush nominates someone.
