All held without bond in Florida home invasion attack

Sheriff's deputies have arrested 14 men suspected of kidnapping and raping an 18-year-old woman in Florida.

The victim told deputies she was asleep in her home early Saturday when she heard a knock at the front door, according to the Naples Daily News. When she opened the door, she said several men reached in and grabbed her and dragged her from her home.

The victim told deputies the men took her to a nearby trailer where she saw several more men. She said one man began to choke her, while several of the others hit her, causing her to lose consciousness.

When she regained consciousness, the men were plugging her nose and pouring alcohol into her mouth, according to the report.

She said the men then removed her pants, and, while others held her down, one by one, each had sex with her for what she estimates was an hourlong ordeal. After all of the men had finished having sex with her, she was pushed out the front door. The woman said she ran to a nearby home, where she reported the crime to deputies at about 4 a.m.

The men arrested and charged are: Rene Perezgarcia, 22; Mario Lopez Luis, 19; Herman Sanchez Salas, 28; Ovidio Lopez Funez, 19; Napoleon Perez Lopez, 29; Edwin Albaladego Rivera, 28; Ermitanio Lopez Salas, 18; Israel Santiago, 56; Rolando Perez Claudio, 23; Alvarado Perez Luis, 21; Augusto Perez Lopez, 32; Cesar Perez Lopez, 29; Gabino Garcia Godinez, 24; and Augusto Garcia Velasquez, 30.

They each are charged with sexual battery, a first-degree felony, and kidnapping/false imprisonment, according to sheriff's reports.

Each of the men told deputies they reside at the trailer, except for Perezgarcia, who said he lives nearby. All of the men told deputies they are field laborers. There was no word on their immigration status.

The suspects were denied bond, and are being held in jail until legal proceedings can begin.

"Do you have any interest beyond your short term financial gains? If you don't care about yourself, do you care about your wife or daughters?"

As long as it is only the daughters of the little people who are raped nothing will change. Pointing out the barbaric behavior of the uneducated hoards swarming across the border will only get you labeled a racist hick.

The little people will need to teach their daughters how to kill men.

Just watching so that after his treatment and eventual return home, he can tell the story first hand.

What the heck are you saying? SHE didn't mix alcohol with multiple young men, they poured it down her throat.

Calm down. We only know the report that has hit the airwaves. This part of the story seems strange, that they would choke her to force her to drink beer (or whatever). Men normally give alcohol to women to make them volunteer for sex. Maybe there is a weird macho thing with these guys.

And did the young lady years ago also go to the hospital and get treated for her injuries?

Yes, she did go to the hospital. She got multiple shots for STDs, a D&C and an overnight stay. She also made the nightly news. The next day retractions were posted when it came out that it was her and her boyfriend going "too far".

I agree that rapists will often use the consensual defense, or even claim that she invited them all over to party.

The story may be true as published, but often the most lurid articles later are corrected as the investigation progresses. The truth may be that they took turns raping her. The truth may not be quite so sensational. I don't know. Having been close to a false rape accuasation makes me pause before I powder the rope for a lynching.

Even Hispanic men can be wrongfully accused of rape. It happens. I am not willing to jump on the band wagon at this point. I think that a rape may have been commited, but the details as revealed so far haven't convinced me to throw away the key.

Unless the victim is a mental deficient, I would guess she also is an illegal.

More of President Bush's goodhearted people!!! Celebrate Diversity!!

You forgot that they are "family oriented" too. More illegal alien criminals waiting for the Bush amnesty, just what America doesn't need or want.

The Eagle on the Federal insignia is holding olive branches in one talon, arrows in the other. Scarcely an original idea.

I hope she files suit against the employer of these upstanding ILLEGAL laborers

I pray she does ... a few suits against the employers would really cause those who employ Illegals to think twice.

More likely to vote Republican than blacks or Jews, but you have a point.

What's important is that these folks were here ILLEGALLY, not their ethnicity.

I just rec'd the following in an email from Floridians for Immigration Enforcement (www.FLIMEN.org):

It's outrageous! The article below describes a gang rape in Naples, FL perpetrated by 14 suspected illegal aliens. Even the Naples News describes the rapists as "14 Immokalee men" and fails to even mention they are suspected of being illegal aliens. Both the Miami Herald and Sun-Sentinel completely ignored the story as their Florida News section only has an article about "Immigrants find English sometimes a third - or fourth - language."

This story and other negative impacts of illegal immigration are typically ignored by the newspapers. The only known coverage of the gang rape was Naples News, a Naples television station and http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=46655.

Citizens should be rightly outraged not only the rape but by media's suppression of the story. The Miami Herald's State Editor stated "The Herald does not have enough staff to cover Naples." However, the Miami Herald certainly has enough staff to publish all of their other pro-illegal immigration articles. Unfortunately most other newspapers handle the negative aspects of illegal immigration in a similar manner.

In a citizen's call to the Collier County Sheriff Department a Commander stated none of the rapists had any identification and the individuals are being held without bond. Due to well-known computer problems the Department of Homeland (In)Security has yet to determine their immigration status. ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) will determine whether the individuals are eventually deported.

Given the failure of Department of Homeland (In)Security to enforce immigration laws, citizens will be lucky if the rapists are eventually deported.

Folks, this bias by Florida's pro-illegal immigration newspapers must be challenged. If the rape had been done by citizens the media would be all over the story and would not let it drop, but if it's done by suspected illegal aliens the story is quietly ignored.

Because newspapers are so biased against reporting the criminal activities by suspected illegal aliens you should consider getting your immigration news from the Internet. Worthwhile sites are:

http://www.illegal-immigration.typepad.com/

http://www.newsmax.com/hottopics/Immigration!Borders.shtml

http://www.steinreport.com/

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/closebordersgroup/?yguid=159765313

http://news.yahoo.com/fc/US/Immigration/

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/

Take a look a immigration news from these sites and compare the accuracy of the information to your local newspaper and no doubt you will find two different worlds. Consider getting your future immigration news from the Internet and perhaps even canceling your newspaper subscription.

Maybe FReepers should alert the flimen to FR?
