Interesting from a Myers-Briggs perspective...

It is. I think there's more than the thinker vs. feeler mentality going on here. I think that a lot of what passes for liberal thought is also based in intuitive vs. sensing.

I'm an ENTJ. For those not familiar with Myers-Briggs, they classify people into 16 personality types based upon 4 dimensions:

Introvert--Extrovert (E-I) Are you energized by people or drained by them?
Sensing--Intuition (S-N) Are you naturally observant or are more focused on your inward thoughts?
Thinking--Feeling (T-F) Are you more comfortable with logical analysis or emotions and relationships?
Perceiving--Judging (P-J) Are you more comfortable before you make a decision (gathering data) or afterward?

My wife is an ISTJ. We make decisions very quickly and have loud but short fights.

My first daughter is an ESFP. My second daughter is INTP. My son is ENTJ.

There's nothing right or wrong about any combination--it's how you use it.

Obviously, if you focus on F without using T, you'll be duped and misled by others. If you focus on T without F, you'll offend people and not have many friends.

Intuitives get new, creative ideas. But don't ask them for directions. Ask a Sensor.

I would guess a lot of the so-called swing moderates are Perceivers--they don't feel comfortable making decisions, so they wait until they're in the voting booth. I usually pick my first, second, and third presidential choices before the primaries are over.

For 2008, my choices are: 1. Jeb Bush; 2. George Allen

I'll have to see who's running to make my final choice.

Why, it is not a psychological but rather a physiological problem - they still "think", but what do they "think" with? And while brain convolutions are superficially resembling intestines, the corresponding contents and [antillectual] quality thereof is clearly different - one stinks much worse...
