"Walls will not solve migration problem"No, but land mines and gun towers might help to keep them in their own prison called Mexico.

Mexico's foreign minister said here Monday that building walls or fences will not solve the problem of illegal immigration, because the causes of the exodus of workers to find better opportunities abroad run very deep.Well fix whatever it is that is driving the people out..

Walls won't solve it... but a 'smart' minefield would.

"Derbez said that "the governments of the world must confront the phenomenon of migration at its roots."
even if it means we invade Mexico, remove you and your corrupt brethren?

"Derbez alluded to what occurred in recent days in Spain's North African enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla, where hundreds of Subsaharan Africans tried to climb over the border fences and enter Spanish territory. "What happened in Melilla happens every day on other borders around the world. Happens EVERY DAY ??? Think not! As I understand it, The 25'(or so) Concrete Barrier WALL Israel put up does a rather fine job at keeping the Palestinian Trash on "IT's" side ....!

Mexico's foreign minister said here Monday that building walls or fences will not solve the problem of illegal immigration Thanks for the advice, Senor Foreign Minister. Claymore's, bouncing betties and 50 cals it is. We'll only take a mile from the border into your so called country as the DMZ (dead man's zone).

In speaking of migration, we must speak about development, the creation of opportunities and about a frontal assault on poverty." All handled best by individuals and very poorly by governments.

If we went to the root of the problem, Derbez would not enjoy the solution. In the meanwhile, I can't help but think Hadrian had somewhat of a point about the walls. They don't stop the problems, but they sure keep out the ones who aren't very resourceful.
