I have yet to see a reason to support this person. Sorry, my support is based on principle not just because she is nominated by a Republican President.

He did:
committed to interpreting the law instead of legislating from the bench
As conservatives we complain when when Dems nominate far-left candidates. Why should we complain when Bush nominates a candidate who (according to the administration) will be a strict constructionist?
SCOTUS is not a political body. We should not be concerned with a particular candidates political or social leanings. We should be concerned with whether or not they can read and interpret the CLEAR LANGUAGE of the Constitution of the United States.
To: Gunder
Harriet Miers has a record that demonstrates a commitment to faithfully applying the Constitution. Record? I want:

I don't have to worry. I am pretty sure my two Senators (Lautenberg and Corzine) will vote the right way on this one. Then again, GW might have found someone even they can love.

I'll send no money nor offer any support to the Republican Party until they demonstrate stronger commitment to Conservative values.
If Republican senators vote against this nominee it will convince me that they understand that this was a sad mistake on the President's part.

No. I don not support Ms. Miers. I am asking my senators to vote against her.
To: TXBSAFH
I've got one. Our President, who has yet to tell his constituents a lie, believes she will interpret the Constitution as written. He has known her for over ten years. That is what I require in a Supreme Court justice.
I trusted him in the WOT, Iraq, tax cuts. He has brought integrity back to the office. Why should I not believe him now?
Oh ye of little faith.
