A few interesting facts to me from the Oval Office nomination session - President Bush used the phrase "strict construction" twice in his intro, Ms Miers used it once. Her undergraduate degree was in mathematics... math folks can be painstakingly strict in their construction of things.

This is just about the only thing I can glean from her background, either positive or negative. I consider this to be a very good thing, personally.

It is too bad, to me, that the President didn't nominate someone like Brown - my heart-throb choice... but if Miers IS a strict Constructionist/ Constitutionalist, and tends to be a logician and mathematical in her approach to cases, conservatives are going to be very happy.
