Not to uphold my pet projects.Pardon me if I missed something, but is our Military a "pet project"?
I need an answer soon as my son is planning to petition the American Military for a position tomorrow.
My only son.
I don't have several to waste.

Tell your son I said
"Thanks for stepping up to the plate."
Wish him good luck!

Indeed you did miss something.
Congrats to your son, I'm sure he'll do a fine job.
Now, watch as I try and dig myself out of a self dug hole and probably only succeed in digging myself deeper.
I want a strict consitutionalist. I'm sure I've made myself clear on that. Tonkin is somehow implying that being JAG or former JAG is a good enough qualification and I disagreed. I take great issue to "conservatives" who are only looking out for their pet project. Anytime you let the government overstep it's bounds, even if you agree with what they are doing, is trouble.
