Is this the same Frank Miller who did all those really great Daredevil comics? And the Dark Knight limited series? His art and writing style are really powerfulDon't know. Haven't been to a movie since 1992 (no smoking).
The same with local restaurants (07/04).
I don't go where I'm not wanted.

Where's it being held? since they are booking from NYC will it be in richmond?
BTW - I don't own any of their stock, could I still go?

I used to collect comics (which is where I got my screen name). Yes, same Miller. I didn't like his stuff, though, because ,IMHO, it led to the downfall of mainstream comics-all are dark/depressing now. Which is one reason I gave up collecting, along with the fact they'd finally run out of ideas, same as Hollywood.

Hah! But, unlike Pulp Fiction, at least you wouldn't need to clean up the vomit...

Sin City is brilliant. It actually made me want to smoke while I was watching it. Mickey Roarke was superior.

I love his stuff. There's something in the dark places he draws that is familiar to me.

I was a geek collecting comics when Miller started first pencils then writing...then just becoming a one man show.
When he came on board with Daredevil it was one of Marvel's line that just barely hung on. Not bad enough of sales to cancel it but certainly not up there with the sales of X-Men or the Avengers. By the time Miller (who was just a kid at this time) was done with Marvel and shopping his wears to the highest bidder Daredevil was the best selling comic out there.

"The same with local restaurants..."There's an Indian casino not far from where I live. Great food, huge menu, terrific waitresses and you can smoke all you want. They're open 24/7. Even California can't tell the Indians what to do. So start lobbying for a huge Indian casino in your town and you'll be welcome again.

Sin City deserves to be seen in a large, smoke-filled room... I've seen the movie and IMO it was horrible. Lots of unnecessary violence.
But such violence in these movies is celebrated, but the violence in "The Passion" was criticized by the same hypocrites. Go figure.

Mickey Rourke's character was truly a hard-ass though. He gets hit by a car, drinks like a fish, smokes like a chimney, takes a bunch of medications....and the guy still quips "Is that all ya got?" after getting a shock in the electric chair.

Why? You sound like that anti-smoking nazis, but in the opposite direction.
Thats the way movie theaters were BEFORE the anti-smoking nazis took control of this country. Lighten up and let us enjoy an invited retro moment of good times long gone.............

Lighten up and let us enjoy an invited retro moment of good times long gone............. Enjoy it how you like it. My issue was with the idea that you should smoke while watching this movie (i.e. "Sin City deserves to be seen in a large, smoke-filled room.."). I'll watch it my way, you watch it yours.
